I stubbed my toe while watering my spice garden, and only cried for 3 min. That's how tough I am.

I worked at a rock quarry as a miner full time (the most boring and manual labor intensive job I've ever had) and delivered pizzas part time at night (aggravating because of all the bad tippers). I hated both jobs, but I worked them so my wife and I could be married, because of the bills, the debt she brought into the relationship, the bad economy, and I put off going back to school. Then my wife wanted a divorce.

Life sucks sometimes, but if you learn what you can from it, without it making you bitter, you become a better person, or as the OP puts it, "tough."
