I don't undestand how are infinite sustain champions balanced.

Two things about these "Infinite sustain (you're an idiot here btw)" champions.

One, just like Soraka's old "Infinite mana" It really isn't infinite, it's metered out over time, kind of like gp/5 items, because, you know, those are "Infinite Gold" items... oh wait, no they aren't.

Second, energy or resourceless champions generally give up something big for their resourcelessness, usually, it's ranged harass and hard CC, but sometimes it's something like damage over middling (not burst, not sustained long term harass) periods of time (Hi Kennen and Akali), because, once they actually drain that energy bar going all out, they are pretty much ****ed hard for a good 10 seconds or so in most cases, whereas a mana champion just coming out of the gate can probably let off at least 3-4 good solid full combos without having any resource scarcity.

Basically, there are three ways to win vs odd-resource champions in general:

#1: Take advantage of how exactly their resource works. You have a Renekton? Don't let him build fury, and he can't out trade you, in fact, your trade should be better if you can fury starve him, but if you let him fill up two or three times without halving his health, you just lost the lane, and it's mostly your fault.

#2: Take advantage of the low numbers of skill shots on them by juking all over the brush all day all the time so they can't do much of anything while you spam fire and combo their face off.

#3: Bait them into committing to a trade... and then CC AND BURST THE **** OUT OF THEIR ASS AND WIN THE TRADE!

Except his sustain lets him vs a number of top laners with ease, so late game doesnt usually matter.

Katarina has a pretty big tradeoff compared to a lot of assassins... and that is having NO form of cc or damage avoidance, so she has no way to lockdown/ignore any of her victims or people trying to save them... she may be very mobile, but she is EXTREMELY squishy, and actually worse at trading damage or jumping into teamfights safely than most are...

Basically, against her, the strategy of just turning around and smacking her can get you a won fight and a kill a lot more easily than most assassins.

Lee-sin gives up what exactly? Lol...

Yea, he lacks a stun/knockup but the guy has everything else!

She's not extremely squishy, please... cut the exaggeration. Akali is even squishier than ms. katarina.

homeguard boots will be pretty broken for laning as well in season 3 unless something is done on PBE. instant heal health/mana soon as you teleport back to spawn pool and a 200% MS boost that decays over 8 seconds as soon as you leave pool to get back to lane.

seriously there will be no reason to get the other tier 3 boot upgrades over homeguard in its current state. im sure issues will arise because of these boots unless they are nerfed some its just too good.
