The first thing you did with CV was check the enemy fountain to see their items and what lane they were going to.
Also, on the champion's pages you could see all of the skins, included the ones that were not available in store. Teemo had so many pictures.
Picked teemo to counter Yi every game. Everyone could flash away from ryze while in rune prison. (Trist with rocket jump)
Olaf could clear an entire wave of minion with Undertow because it often did much, much more damage than it was supposed to.
tank shaco, used to get all stats of actual shaco, stack 5 sunfires and boots, best tank ever!
Twisted Fate's gold card was harder to pick and triggered an AOE-stun even if you hit a tower with it.
Shaco was played with critical damage runes because his q-damage did a normal crit.
Katharina was released with the formerly mercenary skin (blue hair). Meanwhile the mercenary skin and her classic skin have changed.
Heimerdinger could build 5 towers.
Ashes ultimate wasn't an arrow but rather a huge ice chunk.
HP, Mana and XP bars took over the entire width of your screen.
The surrender vote only worked in chat, there was no such thing as a graphical surrender vote. Only /surrender and /nosurrender.
Dragon spawned at the beginning of the game.
Phantom dancers had a passive (not unique) dodge Chance which made it possible for jax to achieve a 100% dodge chance.
So much more... so much more...
It's insane how much has changed since the first day of closed beta.
Dat Asian Gurl
Sona could be played AP Carry and it would be mostly legit.
Soraka was a healbot of godly proportions. Never run out of mana EVER.
Talon used to be a regular pick in games until his CDs or some such got nerfed. Then get got turned into a situational pick.
SUPPORT HEALS. OP AS HELL.
Kayles passive used to only work if a teammate died
Sniff Innervating locket was udyrs best friend
Also you could block a wave of minions with hiemers turrets and release them in a flood
