(Jungle monsters now attack the nearest target rather than attempting to chase their original attacker to make their behavior more consistent)

No more leashes?

This feels like a step back from Season 2 jungle, which was characterized by champions and junglers that made plays by ganking or counter-jungling. I don't see how these changes are a real improvement; a jungler that is buying farm items like Machete will have a hard time ganking and his counterjungle will be unsafe. Why is this supposed to be a good thing?

No it currently costs 300g meaning you can start with 5 Health Potions (numbers subject to change before release).

The Hunter's Machete actually has no raw stats but instead increases your damage dealt to jungle monsters by a % and also adds bonus true damage to your basic attacks against jungle monsters.

The item then branches off into 2 upgrade paths one being Madred's Razor and the other being a new item focused more towards non-autoattack based champions called the Spirit Stone.

... So the usual junglers still benefit more from the early item and unconventional junglers have to upgrade it?

Also, why are you making it harder to steal the big wraith? It was already something you had to commit to as many mids and it having increased HP and being more difficult to hit will simply make this a LOT harder. So, why? Why is it a problem?

Do you ever intend to have any jungle items that offer spellvamp? Doing so might increase the amount of junglers exponentially to include some odd AP ones.

To alleviate some of this early pressure, we want to make early ganking from the jungle a more difficult, conscious choice that will require constant monitoring of the risks involved. To accomplish this, we are increasing the damage dealt by jungle monsters. This means that junglers who gank early will likely be at lower health and not equipped with Boots of Speed

So laners start with boots + junglers are forced to start without boots or risk getting too low in jungle(maybe even die to creeps) = any early level ganks are useless cause laners with boots can just walk away without burning any summoners ?
Way to fk up ganking junglers who are strong lvl2-3...

no way... this is the worst change you can make... jungling is hard... if you do this junglers like hecarim, kha, shaco, voli, etc wont be able to jungle anymore... they are really weak early game... and with those changes jungle wont be a viable option to play anymore...
The people who like this changes are those agressive players that harass and dominate his lanes, because jungler isn't going to help now... this sucks...

Have you ever heard of runes...?

You're saying you've never bought the wriggles latern on any jungler which is the farming item of the junglers which as stated in previous posts, the machete can upgrade into that?

I was waiting to ask how Kha'Zix is going to manage to jungle in the new meta .... looks like spirit stone may be the answer.

Phew!

You know what would really open up jungling to all kinds of COOL and FUN strategies? Making it so that jungle creeps don't just reset after reaching a certain point. You can keep it so that they reset if the champion gets away from them of course, but them resetting after getting X distance from their spawn point is aggravating.

One of the champions I like jungling with for example is Syndra. Syndra makes jungling really entertaining even if S2 wasn't ideally suited to her. You can pick up a creep to keep it from hurting you and pound away on the other ones, then drop it on its buddies. How cool would it be to be able to grab the last wolf, carry it to Blue, and drop it on his head without the wolf resetting and running away?

How cool would it be to use Rammus to taunt/bait a couple of camps together and then Powerball them?

You could leave it the same for certain unique and tactically important camps like Dragon. Otherwise... CREEEEEEP TRAAAAAAAAAAIN~

I feel like we're just reverting back to S1 jungle. Its sounds like boots/3 is out of the question for most junglers aside from WW, Udyr, Lee, etc. And those were champions that were popular in S1 because they didnt need to start Cloth/5. Whats to stop this from happening again? Hunter’s Machete better be one hell of a starting item or we're just gonna end up with the same handful of junglers we had in S1.
