Just curious as to why they chose 2.5 instead of 2 or 3 or no cap at all.
Also I want to play zombie brand with insane attack speed.

It's an awful build but pewpewpewpewpew.
getting to 2.5 attack speed is already hard without a steroid
maybe because riot tested at 3 and it was OP in certain scenario (warwick as steroid, nunu bloodboil), or it was 2.5 in dota so they decided to keep it that way
I would assume that it's the result of extensive mathcrafting and playtesting.
AS on Hit builds would be completely insane, and anything that is an on-hit effect, like Kog or Vayne's % health damage, would deal godly ridiculous damage.
I hear its because most animations get really funky looking if it goes any higher. And honestly how often do you get to 2.5?
