Except I think it is a bad idea to add this as it adds a moral imperative (reciprocity) to go back and honor your team mates if you are notified they honored you when you leave the post game lobby. Reciprocity is something they avoid at the moment by only telling you you were honored after it is too late to honor someone.

Dr. Lyte,

I would just like to note that I have not played a game of LoL since August because I was just tired of the ridiculously negative attitude of the community. I haven't started up again, but I am seriously considering doing so again because I want to see if this system will have an effect on my experiences. I certainly hope that it will and I applaud your efforts to improve upon our experiences with the game.

That being said, I obviously have no real idea how the Crest/Ribbon is displayed as I have not been playing, but I feel like I have a fairly simple solution to the clutter problem you mentioned. You have an overall shield with all four symbols on it for the honor system. Why not simply attach that shield, minus whatever honor symbols have not been earned, and add them in as they are earned? This centralizes all four honor awards while allowing them to be displayed at the same time. I understand there is a color scheme attached to each award, so you could simply make the symbols themselves reflect the same color to avoid confusion from them being too small to see.

Just my 2 cents. I really hope this works out, I would love to come back to more positive games.

My ONLY problem with the current system is that my client sometimes completely crashes after I click "Victory" or "Defeat." Since I must relaunch the entire LoL client, I have occasionally been unable to Honor teammates that really, really deserved it (The only Honor point that I *would* have given out besides the two given to my close friends had this problem... I couldn't Honor him as he truly deserved).

I understand why giving Honor should be limited to the post-game screen, but it as a relatively-sparing (responsible) honor-giver, I was sad that I couldn't honor someone who had earned my respect with amazing teamwork and good attitude.

We completely agree, which is why this isn't in Honor. We were just discussing the locations it could have happened if we wanted to do it

Reposting this from the elo boosting thread because it contains an idea for "using" honor. And, well, I'd like to know that somebody has seen it.

This is great, but it's a little late, don't you think? The effects of these boosters has introduced a negative effect on many, many players trying to play fair to increase their rank, and now there is less than two weeks to repair the damage they have done.

While punishing those responsible is great, has there been any consideration given to leniency for those affected? I'm mostly talking about the Janna skin, and how many people might want it are very likely to not earn it due to a number of factors, not the least of which being having to deal with smurfs who just happen to not be on your side. Some possible options to consider:

1) Extend the deadline for season 2 rewards. (Possibly not feasible, just throwing it out there.)

2) Lower the threshold for the skin from gold to silver I or II.

3) If your top elo + your combined honor points is at least 1500, you get the skin.

It would be wonderful if anything along these lines could be considered. Thanks.

Also, while I'm here I find that in a good game I'll honor two or three teammates, if not all of them (if I think they all contributed exceedingly well). If they're jerks I'll report them, though. Am I going to "run out"?

i have unlocked all the crests so i know that the system deems teamwork the most difficult to get crest, but is this really true? you already said teamwork honor is the easiest to get. what im asking is, how do you determine how difficult a crest is to get?

I've found that having an honor badge has gotten me singled out for harassment. Certain players go out of their way to insult me for "being too nice". I've reported them for verbal abuse. I hope the Tribunal will take care of it. Speaking of, I believe it would be something to assist with the honor system and tribunal by adding weight to reports by honorable players; a sort of seal of disapproval. Just a thought.
