I recently found out Dominion actually have a Elo system, so how do you check it?

You missed the train. Riot removed the ability to check it several patches ago

You can still check it holistically if you wish to get a general idea, by what strategies are dominant, and what % of players take revive, and which players you see in your games. You won't get a number anymore though.

It was removed in the Lulu patch. June 20th to be exact.

Further proof that Lulu is made of pure eeeeeeevil.

So there are no ways to actually check it?

And the people on the forums talking about "high elo dominion" is because they can predict they have a high elo because of who they usually play with?

You could ask a Rioter individually or send in a support ticket, they might tell you (though they're not supposed to, I gather its more of a professionalism than a law over there).

Most people who presently refer to themselves as high Elo Dominion were already in that range when the ratings were made invisible. People who weren't around then usually just use those players as a point of reference, though you can make an argument about summoner spell choices, player pool, tournament participation, win difference and lack of leavers all being delineations of high Elo.

lolmatches still has their unofficial ladder up for viewing if you wanted to know what ratings were like as of June 20: http://lolmatches.com/top/dominion

I remember there was a Rioter in the past few months who would tease us by telling us he could check hidden elo but never told anyone any elo info at all, including his own.

Oh man how I dream of ranked.

Don't miss the train next time, laddie. It's a bad habit.

Late to the party bro, i'm sorry, we used to be able to do it wih Jabebot until the Lulu patch then we used lolnotes and lolmatches untl the Zyra patch, Riot shutted down all those programs and we are no longer allowed the power to see our Dominion ELo.

FYI you were last seen with 1807 Elo, with a high of 2026.

The only way to estimate your Elo range is to look up the people who appear often enough for you to recognize on lolmatches.

The number of revives is a pretty good hint.
