TT and SR elo are separated now. They weren't before this change.

Does this mean I can actually try TT without getting smashed by players that are considered equal by my SR elo? The ONLY time I played, the other team won in about 10 minutes because I didnt even know the buffs were different or anything about the map really.

You are correct. Now your elo in SR will not affect TT, the other way will also be true.

I broke up the stats between TT and SR for more important reasons related to matchmaking. It is not just about win/loss/death/kill related stats, but also to break up all internal connections between SR and TT. In the long run, it will help not only improve matchmaking experience of TT players, but you will get more accurate stats for both SR normal and TT normal.

Yes, in theory it is great, and in the long run.

but why not allow the wins to be kept in the playlist the player has played the majority of?

I understand to go through each player and see what they played the majority of, is ridiculous, but why not on login have a popup,

"We have separated the wins between TT and SR, we now ask you to pick which one you have played more of, and we will put your wins in that playlist.
[TT] [SR]
once you select one it is permanent, and all wins will be in that playlist."

i mean it would take a little more work, but couldn't a simple automated program be written to automatically place the wins in the playlist they selected, like

if (condition)
{command}

if (condition)
{command}

or possibly an if else, but i think two ifs would work better.

or would that be hard to implement?

edit: it just seems like this was done spur of the moment, my way above would have made both player groups happy, and you would of had to do no work after writing the code.

i hope you understand what i mean by if (condition) {command}

not sure the exact code, but in plain English

if (user selects TT) {send #ofwins.fromuserstats to "TT stats"}

if (user selects SR) {send #ofwins.fromuserstats to "SR stats"}

again i hope i made that easier to understand, i'm not very skilled in programming, but I'm learning
