Hey,

Sometimes I always wonder why pep in higher elo don't need tanky champ, but instead they have at least 1 guy who keep jump in and get nuked and dead while he open opportunity for his team mates, but when I tried that I almost always labeled as feeder in game "lol"

Please give me advise?

People might get nuked, but the other team probably blew most of their spells on him.
It's called focus, you see.

Anyone but full tanks will die to it.
And full tanks don't get focused.
At all.
And don't tank any damage.

So don't feed, but when playing a tanky champion, don't be scared to die. or if you're support.
Also, you have to get people to follow you. Easiest with a CC.

If you're a squishy carry, STAY BACK and don't get caught.
Don't facecheck.
(Unless never.)

Ah ic

And as tanky champ is it better to target their ad carry or trying to protect our own ad carry instead?
Kinda hard when enemy champ is also trying to target the ad carry which usually always the far back. Especially when we are lack on CC

'Tank' is a misnomer. You can't actually be a tank in League like you can in say, WoW. You cannot force the opponents to hit you unless you have a taunt - except taunt is a form of crowd control, and not a true taunt like those found in MMORPGs.

Tanky champions like Malphite are good at (at least) one of three things. Initiation, disruption, and protection. Initiation would be say, Galio's ultimate. You start the fight by CCing the enemy team/player. Disruption is things like Blitzcrank's Power Fist, or Malphite's Ground Slam. Low cooldown skills that hinder the enemy team during the fight and give them a reason to kill you. It can also be constant aoe damage, like Amumu or Rammus provides. Protection is defensive buffs, like Shen's ult or Galio's Bulwark.

Each of the tanky champs is good at different things. The reason they build tanky in the first place is because they need to be in the middle of the enemy team to do their jobs, and they're also likely to taking a lot of fire simply because they're easier to get at than their allied back line squishies are.

It's generally better to protect your own ad carry but there are exceptions. Defense over offense is mostly better. What you want to achieve as tank is to protect your own team while dealing as much damage as possible to the enemy team.

ex) If protecting your ad carry will add a net +1k damage rather than attacking enemy carry, then you should do it.

ex) If proteting your ad carry will add a net -500 damage because your own ad carry is extremely weak then it is better to kill the enemy carry. Note that an enemy on 1% hp still does as much damage as an enemy on 100% hp! So if you don't think you can kill the enemy, better to protect own carry.

So basically Protect own carry if carry does way more damage than you. Attack enemy carry if own carry is really weak or you are sure you can quickly kill the enemy carry. Generally, the choice is to protect own carry because it adds more damage this way.
