Riot,

I understand that you (thankfully) removed the elo deduction from dodging, and instead made it a timer beyond eternity. I get that you don't want people to non-stop dodge until they don't get counterpicked or something works out the way they want.

However, in the case that until gold league there will be trolls and people who get upset because somebody else played their lane, the dodge timer is far and beyond too long. Like I said, I understand you don't want people to just dodge after dodge, but if elo is going to be brought down in a loss because of a feeder or afker or troll or a twitch with surge revive, then dodging should be a little more permitable.

If people are to suffer hour long queues because of being forced to dodge to avoid a free "L" on the stat sheet, then there should be a review system that reverses a loss with such circumstances.

I'm not saying go back to 5 minutes, as even that is pretty short. I'm just saying don't make people wait an hour because they want to raise their elo and play real games. It takes long enough as is for ones elo to fluctuate up and down at 10-14 elo per game (24 if you consider plus or minus), let alone having to wait hours on end to be able to play the game in an avoidance.

IF ANYTHING, I would like to ask that ranked, normal, dominion, and/or twisted treeline have separate queue timers. If we are forbidden from playing a ranked game because of a ranked dodge, we should at least be able to play a normal game, a team ranked, a twisted treeline, or a dominion to pass the time.

Please take consideration into this, thank you kindly.

don't walk into a casino if you're not prepared to lose money

don't play ranked, unless you're prepared to lose elo
if you're gonna dodge to save yourself the elo loss, then put up with the 30 minute/60 minute ban. you shouldn't be queuing up in the first place, so it makes sense that you don't get to queue up in the next hour or so.

im with the op at least on the splitting the ques.

i don't mind losing elo in games with a shot at victory but down in my current elo trolls, uncommunicative, or other varieties of wasted flesh are pretty common and 85% of the time means the game is lost from champ select. My last week of play one in 3 games was like this. Ive played most of these games because the leaver que can become so very long. all told something around 200 elo loss on these games with zero chance of winning and 20-40 mins of *****ing per game. The only silver lining is that im find lots of people to ignore and report. And it sucks that the most effective ranked play method i can do involves dealing with hosts of persons i would cheerfully hit in the groin with a pickaxe or tie to a belt sander for a few days.

/end rant thank you if you have read this far.

Ok this is unfair, my elo rank is on 452, couse i played the last 7 games on 4 v 5, is not our fault ppl leave the game, and is my time waste there, so RIOT, if they leave why can we leave too with not report and not penalty on rank elo, i lose 60 elo rank for that reason, you will have a lot of desertation if you dont control that, on DOTA 2, only the first one who leave is punish, the other can leave as free couse is a un fair game, and most the time the person who leave do with a lo of deths for our team,..... so??
Would you do something?

ty, i wait your anwer

If you're not prepared to play ranked and all you want to do is troll then you shouldn't play rank.
Or am I wrong?

I think the concern is more that most dodges aren't because of trolls, they're because people don't get the champ/role they want. You're supposed to be given situations where you have a low chance of winning, as well as situations that can be won easily. That's how the elo system works, and skipping the situations you judge risky rather then helping the team to the best of your ability circumvents the accurate calculation of elo.

Yes, but the point of having separate queues/timers would still be a very valid solution. It won't fix all of the problem, but it at least gives you something worthwhile to do that isn't ARAM. Timers are down now, but the penalty is back, which is kinda lame.

Do you really think Gold league becomes some sort of utopian gamer society?
Not even close.

Just play the hand you're dealt, it's really not that difficult.
I went from 700 to 1500 without any real issue. It was a bit of a challenge, but that's why I play solo queue, I don't want free wins.

If you are going to dodge because you don't have an ideal win rate, then you should be made to suffer some sort of consequence.
Try reading a book?

These threads pop up daily, and I can't believe this one was revived.
It's ridiculous that dead threads come back up.
