Now that Cleave is actually coming into the game, what are the chances that the splash damage will be changed to cleave damage to make it a better item?

Probably alter all the stats that it gives and make it AD oriented.

Well, it already is an AD oriented item but with the unnecessary bonuses like mana regen and health regen, it makes it unappealing to players and tend not to get picked up.

Honestly, I think it should be only a mix of AD and attack speed. Like a Pickaxe and 2 Daggers. And give it a passive that goes something like attacks that critically strike causes the cleave aoe to get bigger, or something.

Here's the problem with Tiamat: too expensive for its effect.

It's designed to be an early-mid game farming tool, and yet it costs more than 2000 gold and doesn't build from anything defensively beneficial except for Rejuv bead, which is not near as effective as Cloth armor for the jungle.

Exdeadman you make a good point about this item if you were to simply change the cost so that it could be bought easily in early game then it would be much better. As things stands it is only to be seen on the ever fun Tiamat Tuesday when people often stand to close together.

I think it should be changed into more of a defensive item, maybe reduce the AD on it and add some armor. Definitely change the passive to unique, could increase the percentage if its changed to unique.

Or maybe change it so that it has an active instead of the passive that does a cleave when activated

I have always wished Tiamat was more useful and think everything on Tiamat should stay the same but make the cleave do full damage not reduced but have it be a short active trigger, and/or just add a spellvamp unique to it, like 15%.

This way it can still be a good farming tool and fills that needed AD champ spell vamp item. This would also make it an excellent jungle item, I can't think of any jungle champ that doesn't use their abilities to go through the jungle.

What you think?

Its good on Shaco. He can push towers very effectively with clone, though he has problems pushing minion waves to get to them. Tiamat solves this very effectively. It also allows his big deceive hits to splash in team fights. Its not easy, but it is worth the wait.

The biggest problem with tiamat, is that the range on it's splash is ridiculously low. I don't have the exact number on it, but enemies basically have to be touching to take splash damage. But at the same time, increasing the range would make it op if done too much.

Its splash range isn't all that low, you can literally 1 shot a minion wave with it and they spread out a decent distance. Fiora ult + 4 tiamats and you have yourself a pentakill on a closeley knit team.

In Dota 2, theres an Item named Dagon where, once you buy it, you can buy it AGAIN to increase the stats on it and make the active more powerful.
What if Tiamat worked like this? You could buy it again but instead of getting two of them, the first one's stats is increased as if you had two?
