What is this program?
After seeing countless requests for it and watching pro players get tons of friend requests I sought out to solve this problem by creating an XMPP client that auto denies friend requests.
What this program DOES and DOES NOT do.
It does in fact automatically deny friend requests through XMPP. However, this does NOT mean it prevents the notification from being sent to the client. This appears to be impossible with how Riot implements the client, unless I intercept the packet before it gets to the lolClient. In a future release I may go this route if Riot still hasn't implemented this feature.
Lol, this program isn't helpful at all if notifications still show up....
For some, you may be correct, but I do believe this still may help some people. The thing is, if you relog into the game, you will not get any previous notifications because they were already responded to. The notifications will only stay for the current session. As opposed to not using this program: the notifications will remain until you manually remove them.
Is this legal or against Riot's TOS?
This program is at the simplest level an XMPP client. If Riot has no problems with other clients created in the past, then this one should be ok as well.
You could just be stealing my account info....
It is open source. Don't trust my binary file? Checkout the latest code and compile yourself!
As I don't consider myself a seasoned programmer, I am releasing this program and its source code to the public under GNU GPL v3 code license. I am open to all comments and criticisms and understand this program will last only until riot creates a built in feature. This is completely untested on a high volume of friend requests. I have no idea how it will handle large amounts of requests. Requirements:
