Pro-tip: If you have a teammate sneaking up to gank an enemy champion, use your blue pill to try and lure that enemy into overextending for and easier gank. Lots of players subconsciously take risks to cancel somebody's blue pill, use this to your advantage.

Blitzcrank people:

Power fist works on buildings. Abuse this as much as possible when it comes to pushing.
Rocket Grab has slightly longer range and wider 'snag' area than it looks. It's a fun trick to snag someone sitting just barely on the edge of the range-circle (or just far enough to one side of a creep) and open up the hurting.

General tips:

Everyone and their grandma in solo queue seems to have Heal. Don't forget about that when you try to gank somebody >.<
Tower diving at level 1 = Bad. Tricking the opponent into tower diving at level 1 = lulz. Use your imagination and/or spells to that end.
Watch your minimap. I've seen far too many people die because they didn't notice an enemy hero come out of cover behind them several seconds before a gank started.

As Shaco, Kassadin, or anyone with Flash, you can teleport farther than the range the spell actually indicates, here is how:

As Shaco for example (short range teleport, deceive): Stand away from a tree line but with just a sliver of your spell range indicator inside the trees, then click in the direction of the trees but within the spell range and you will teleport all the way to the other side of the trees! Even if its double your true range. I have never gotten stuck in the trees and I think this occurs exactly so you cannot get stuck so use it to your advantage to get away from ganks!

Cho'Gath: Stop getting Vorpal Spikes early; it is so bad and Feral Scream is so good. Having the combination of a knockup, slow, and silence by level 2 makes Cho one of the best first blood initiators in the game if you are laning with a competent partner. Don't be afraid of mana issues, learn to last-hit properly and you will never have mana problems due to Cho'Gath's passive, even if all you bought off the start was boots and potions.

Aside from Feral Scream being amazing, if you get Vorpal Spikes all it does is allow you to hit your main target for a little more damage and the one creep behind it for negligible damage; creeps don't all stand in a line for you to shoot spikes through and even if they did the enemies in your lane would probably have something to say about your auto-attacking. Finally, since Vorpal Spikes is a passive that cannot be toggled off it means your enemies know that you took it instead of (probably) Feral Scream as soon as you make one attack. There's some mind-game potential here if you decide to get all 3 skills early, but it will only trick your enemies once and isn't really worth the damage/duration loss on your other skills anyway.

Rift Bomb:
As Kassadin, spec summoner teleport and build up riftwalk stacks in base while recharging mana for free. Once your rift walk costs upwards of 1000 mana, teleport next to an enemy, riftwalk on them, and LOL.

Karthus: As soon as you die (if you do) you should turn on defile and start spamming lay wastes to try and do as much damage as you can before you go. That much is obvious (to some) but what isn't obvious is that if you start to cast your ult even with only 1 second left on death defy it should still go off.

Clairvoyance: Not many people pick this spell and because of it nobody notices when they're being spied upon. There's a huge eye floating above the part of the map they revealed. If somebody on the other team has picked this spell look for it. It's often a tell tale sign that the other team is looking for you to gank, so if you see one pop above your head while you're in a bush get out of there fast. This summoner spell is amazing for heros like gangplank, karthus, ashe, and other people with map wide ults.

SkillShots: Skill shots are often regarded as an annoyance, as you can miss and the effect is null. But they're also very handy for searching for stealthed heroes. A good example for this is Dr.Mundo, he has a very cheap and good cleaver attack that he can use every 6 seconds. if you think you are being stalked throw a cleaver in the path of your retreat (a place where twitch likes to hide) if you hear a squelching sound run away from that sound. Or behind you (a place where eve likes to hide). If you don't have wards or a potion any good stealth player will know right away and will have no fear in going into either of these two places. What they don't expect is Mr.Choppy to come sailing their way (they'll call you a hacker, just respond with "don't be so predictable.) Best case senario act like you have a ward up and they'll be less likely to gank in that location.

This is also amazing for checking bushes. Toss a cleaver along the disance of the bush and not only have you checked it for enemys but you've also slowed any would-be gankers so they cant follow you. If the people in the bush are particually dumb they'll just stand there and hope you didn't notice them, allowing you to toss another cleaver in a few seconds later. I use this EVERY time I go to top or bottom at the start of the round. Most players will wait untill you have entered the bush and can see them to attack. So you can get pretty close and most likely if they're in the bush they'll be hit. If not feel free to set up your own gank.

If you're Morg then when you hear your skill shot hit, cast a defile ground at that location, and all of a sudden the ganker becomes the ganked.

The summoner spell "Smite" has more uses than just on minions. You can also use Smite against neutral creeps (like the golem or the dragon) or pets (like Annie's Tibbers or Heimerdinger's turrets).
