Your big problem here is that you think the healing debuff only applies to "healers".

I believe the debuff is there to stop life-steal tanking. Let us also not forget spellvamp Nunu.

With life steal and spell vamp then it is all applied evenly so why is it their? Their are ways to deal with life steal tanking in summoners rift and twisted tree lines. Nothing has changed in dominion other then those with life steal and spell vamp can't rely on healing up on minions as much since your next fight will likely begin before that would even allow you to heal up. They even have the armor and magic pen buff to make people squishier.

Lifesteal can still go insane as is (See: Warwick and Sion) and straight-up healing champs like Alistair can still keep health bars up reliably, including mid-fight.

That considered, I fail to see your point. Healing is fine just where it is.

because it is needed if maokai, nunu, yorick, etc. weren't hit with a healing nerf here they would be even more ridiculous

Exceeept.... they all still work just fine, so I still don't see your point?

Grievous Wounds is a must if you're going up against a healing monster. If no one has ignite, at least SOMEONE has to get Executioner's Calling or Morello's. If you don't take these items specifically designed to counteract the strength of healing your team is going to have a hell of a time.
Hard to argue that healing is "pointlessly nerfed" when there are plenty of situations that call for items and abilities that further counteract healing.

It's not just champions with Heals or that focus on Lifesteal that are balanced around the mechanic of healing. Because healing even exists everything that can get healed has healing considered when being balanced. That means every champion. Sure, the healing debuff in Dominion most directly effect Champions with lifesteal and heals, but it is FAR from pointless. Just like the rest of the Crystal Scar Aura, it's intent is to keep mechanics and stats in line with each other. Everything in Dominion scales out of control compared to Classic, so the Aura's job is to deliberately rebalance en masse.

Consider the aura gone: I dread to imagine what a duo Warwick and Alistair together could do if the healing debuff was gone.

1) Life steal is not balanced around the income obtainable in Dominion
2) Healing characters are not balanced around the income obtainable in Dominion
3) Tanky characters which heal themselves are, again, not balanced around the income obtainable in Dominion
4) Dominion aims to be a faster paced mode of combat, healing recovering people to full doesn't fit within this ideal
5) I don't think theres any character which is unviable on dominion with the healing reduction being the only reason this is so, although it does tend to penalise a little unevenly (+health effects, shields)

Honestly, reading this thread it just sounds like you main a healer and want it changed for your own benefit.
