Actually, it is. The thread title is just an elaborate ruse.

I'm wondering what the general demographic of Dominion players is. For example, I prefer playing Dominion mainly because I do not have the minimum amount of time required for a SR game. I enjoy League, I just don't have time for it.

Is that true of other Dominion players, though? Is the Crystal Scar playerbase mainly older players or is there no age skew at all?

I know, right? Its almost as if I intentionally didn't post this in the Dominion sub-forum.

That couldn't possibly be true, though, could it? That would be madness.

I use it for testing out champion mechanics (like Draven's axe catching) and whenever I want a break from the SR framework (which becomes tiresome sometimes, I get sick of losing games because we didn't put little totem poles in the right places or didn't secure buffs well enough)

I use it for playing dominion.

Wayyy more fun than SR.

EDIT: I would think newer players if anything would be more geared towards Dom

I use it to pub stomp relentlessly for free IP. 20 minute win is a 45 minute loss in SR. But I enjoy SR too much to do that so often.

Play Rammus or taric in dominion. Realise there is NO. BALANCE.

I just like the shorter games. Nothing is worse than being stuck in a long Summoner's Rift battle that you have no hope of winning (you guys know the kind I'm talking about).

So, I have to ask, does using Dominion as a warm up do anything to help with your skills on SR? There has been the long-standing issue as to whether continued exposure to Dominion actually dulls a person's ability to play SR. I could believe that it would start to hamper someone's overall performance in the laning phase, but I've always suspected that Dominion could actually improve a person's ability to teamfight.

Also, my thanks for posting here in the spirit of the thing. +1, good sir.
