Yes, and if someone else has the same item with that aura, it stacks for those who have the item but not on others.

So if all 5 people on a team have Aegis of the Legion that means when standing near one another you all get 200 magic block, 175 armor, +40 damage?

No it stacks twice only. There are two conditions under which you have the aura:

1 - You have the item.
2 - Someone else near you has the item.

If multiple people near you have the item, you fulfill #2, but you can't get multiple stacks of #2. You can only get two max, 1 for having the item yourself, and 1 for at least one teammate around you having it. Mana Manipulator is a good example of this.

Also also, if 4 other people around you have the aura item, but you don't, you only get 1 stack of the aura (not 2). You MUST have the item to get that self-stack effect.

Bah, too bad...

I knew about double mana manipulators, just never heard/read about more than 2.

My description was a bit inaccurate it seems.

Imagine it like there is a "self aura effect" and a "team aura effect". Then it doesn't stack.
