this is actually true. just build some armor, then stack AP like you normally would. if he does not get any kills, slowly he will start to lose trades. his silence only lasts 1 second, giving you enough time to transfuse and maybe even tides of blood if minions are blocking his path.

if you let talon farm or get kills then there is no hope.

As someone who has experience playing Talon, I would say my hardest lane is probably Katarina. Her blink's cooldown is lower than yours, she can blink out of your rake slow, and blink to you more often than you can to her. Also, she can chuck her knives and poke/farm way better than you can. She also has the option of building Rylaize, making her not the ideal squishy to burst down. But for a normal laning against him, my best advice is to farm conservatively, turret hump a lot, and cry to your jungler for ganks.

I "main" Vladimir and I have yet to have a problem with Talon. I really enjoy getting "counter-picked" by a Talon, because I haven't lost my lane to one yet.

If you get counter-picked (assuming draft), chuck on some armor runes (if they're not already in your build), and Talon is all of a sudden a lot less scary. I have found that pre level 6, all you need to do is constantly Q him whenever it's off cooldown - you get your life back, he doesn't. His cooldowns are also longer than yours. Post-6, if he goes for his full combo, just pool out of it once the silence from his E finishes (you do have time between this and his ulti ending).

If you can juke his rake (fake going in for a last hit, then pull back), the lane becomes easy. I end up zoning most Talons because they can't do anything with no health. Vlad also outscales Talon, so you just get stronger against him as the game goes on.

Maybe I've just played against terrible Talons every time, but I honestly haven't had any issues playing against him. If you still can't beat him, take doran's shield rather than boots3. He will do nothing to your health.

I play Talon mid all the time, and I've found that one of the hardest counters is Zyra because of her long range, stun and plants. You want a champion that can keep the pressure on Talon and stay far away from him at the same time since he is, of course, a melee champion. Silences work very well against Talon because he relies entirely on his abilities.

On a side note, most Talon players build a lot of armour pen, so armour doesn't help you much. I'm not entirely sure how armour pen is calculated (does it affect you if you don't build armour, or are you dealt more than true damage?), but if you build health then Talon will (most likely) be less inclined to go in for the kill.

AD Casters: Caitlyn, Corki, Ezreal, Gangplank, Kha'Zix, Master Yi, Pantheon, Sivir (against ap bursters like Leblanc, Morgana, Veigar unviable against others.), TALON , Tristana, Zed. Those are the only acceptable AD mids you could pretty much just like the other carries however they lack the range and CC for mid and are very easy to gank. As a jungler if I saw for instance Draven mid I'd camp him cause of his bad escapes or Vayne because of her terrible early game. Anyways the point I'm trying to make is you shouldn't ever consider AD mids to be OP? Why cause AP tanks will always beat them or if you're an ap with great range you can still lane against them. AP tanks completely destroy AD casters and if not worse case it becomes a farm lane.
List of AP tanks and high range AP's that can lane against AD casters: Akali, Brand, Cassiopeia, CHO'GATH (you won't beat him), Diana, MUNDO (he goes where he pleases and so much sustain), Elise, Fiddlesticks (AD caster no CC weak counter), Fizz, Galio, Gragas, Heimerdinger, Kayle, Leblanc (AD caster no CC weak counter), Lux( AD caster no gap closer weak counter), Malzahar (provided they don't get QSS weak counter), MORDEKAISER (good luck beating him no ganks he'll make you cry mid lane), Morgana (can't dodge snares or no gap closer weak counter), NIDALEE (once you get level 3 spears and are hitting them they'll cry), NUNU (snowball you everytime and has godly sustain), Ryze ( can be beat if you have more range weak counter), SION (seriously take another lane his stun range and that godly sustain), Swain (bird and once he gets ult you'll lose trades), Twisted Fate( decent player will always keep you away never goes oom with his blue card), Veigar( if they have no gap closer weak counter), Viktor (very underplayed but he's such a good harasser and his W makes you scared), Xerath ( so much range and CC switch lanes), Ziggs( harasses well and uses bomb to get away). The point I'm trying to make with my long post is that AD casters are great in their state and they can be beat. I'd rather face them mid than have Amumu,Blitzcrank, Malphite,Shen, Akali who greatly change outcomes of teamfights.
