let me put this into realistic terms, so that you can fully realize what it is that your asking for.

I want you to imagine this. Picture this in your mind.

1: an item, that has a hex effect. that basically immobilizes an enemy for a couple of seconds, and thus leaves them effectively soft-rooted in place and unable to defend themselves

2: imagine a cyclone type item, that can be used to CC anyone that has the ability to stun or silence.


3: now. heres the big one.

Imagine these on Fiddlesticks.

that gives him 4 disables, a borderline OP lifesteal, and one of the strongest aoe nukes in the game.


Do some math there, and then rethink your request

add in the fact that every player can have the exhaust summoner spell, nearly every champion has at least 1 stun/slow/knockup/root effect, and then the possibility of an item to further disable? serriously, no thank you. I love that League of Legends has choosen to not include any active items, and even more, i love that the game does not feel boring for the lack of them. In DotA pretty much all casters built towards a guinsoo's scythe of vyse, mainly because of how potent late game carries were, and the only way to shut them down late game was to perma disable them.

Currently in LoL if a carry runs into a couple of enemy champions without backup, they are going to get disabled, and probably either killed or chased off, unless they are stupidly farmed. Add in items with a disable, and carries will cease to exist

Don't worry, sorry I don't have a source link for you, but I have seen Devs state that they would not add an item such as Guinsoo's, because they don't want to have to balance the gameplay around such an item.

They did state that they wanted to add activatable items, but nothing that would affect gameplay the way BKB or Guinsoo's did.

Well to be honest, LoL as it is now, is all about nuke slow nuke nuke. At some point they won't be able to add any additional heroes, because the spells simply will be identical at some point. In DotA, there are hell-lots of CC'ing, and i don't want that to happen to LoL, but in my honest opinion, there will need to be some more disable heroes/items to balance the game completely.

Wouldn't you rather disable heroes (and thus a larger pool of heroes) than disable items?

even tho all the disables in the game already feel borderline too many.
