I tried doing the math and it didn't add up.
Factoring in talents and item bonus's and doing the equation in all possible ways:
result 1: 636.97
result 2: 641.90
(there were other results showing similar numbers)

Just to be clear:
-talents can provide +10 AP,+10.80AP(.60 per level) and +2%AP (bonus +2%AP at lvl 18).
-items alone are giving 473AP

So 473AP is the starting number and i added the bonus AP from ignite and archmage savvy because those are static values. Then in multiple different orders I added the % AP bonus's.
I couldn't figure out how this player was getting that amount of AP, it seems I come short just about 100AP almost every time. No Baron buff is or was present.

Help please. =)

What is the MAX AP you can gain from runes?

100 Zonia's
140 Mejaj
80 Rod of Ages
80 Lich Bane
40 Blasting Rod
33 Sorc Boots
78 Runes

That is 551 before Zonia's or 4% masteries.

716.3 is total with no ignite mastery or the tier 1 offensive.

738 would mean he went 1 into the Ignite mastery and 2 into the AP talent.

So basically i didn't factor in the runes.

While on the topic, what's the sheer maximum AP you can attain?

I suppose there's

100 Zhonya's
140x5 Mejai's
78 runes

=878

Then 18*.6=11 from tier 1 talent, and 10 from Ignite=899.

So without potions or Baron buff, that's 899x1.25x1.04=1169.

Not sure if I'm putting this in the right order, but...

I believe the potion caps at 65, and Baron buff is 60.

So 899+60+65= 1024x1.25x1.04= 1331

Add that to Absolute Zero, the highest AP ratio in the game (IIRC, it's 3.5 ATM)

750+1331x3.5= 5409

My math could be very wrong, but... damn.

Mejaj doesn't stack, but Archangels do.

Yeah, max is 5 Archangel's and a ring.

Obviously Veigar is necessary for max AP

1x Zhonya's
5x Archangel's

that's 2500 extra mp, plus his 1185 base, is 3685. Does Archangel's unique have a cap? I'm going to assume it's 600 like Tear, but I could be wrong. So 4285 mana.

You get a base 325 AP from the items, 78 from runes, 10.8 from masteries, 10 from Ignite, 428.5 from your archangel's, 65 from potion, 60 from baron. Veigar could theoretically gain 1 AP/4 seconds in a match, but let's say you're only doing 1/10 seconds on average given time running around and whatnot. After 30 minutes, that's 180 AP.

So before Z's ring, that's 1157.3 AP. After Z's unique, you've got 1446.625 AP.

You left off the 4% from the Defensive Mastery tree,

1492.917 AP...and that's assuming no one on their team is near you.

Let's assume there's a combined total of 400 AP on the enemy team near Veigar at that point.

1257.3 * 1.29 = 1621.917

And that's with a conservative estimate of the enemy team. Veigar actually gets *MORE* benefit out of the entire enemy team having Baron and being nearby than he does from having Baron Buff himself.

It may be possible for a Veigar with this setup to break 2000 AP in a team fight.
