As the sands filled the room, suffocating the air around him, Nasus still stood strong as he reflected on his brother's doing. Renekton, who escaped from the league a month ago, managed to trap Nasus in one of the many pyramids that existed in this once great desert. Nasus, along with Master Yi and Janna, were sent to stop Renekton before he went on another killing spree.

It all started one day when Graves and Renekton happened to be on the same team in a match at the Crystal Scar. On the way to defend the refinery, Renekton was somehow pushed into one of the holes by Malphite on the other team. But instead of dying, he stumbled down a mineshaft and out of site from everyone else. When he climbed out, there was one thing that was different about him: his eyes seemed to have a shimmer of purple on them.
The match continued, yet Renekton's team lost. When retiring that night, Graves noticed Renekton was full of anger and his veins were pulsating rapidly. Not wanting a direct conflict, Graves found Evelynn and managed to persuade her to spy on the crocodilian warrior. The next morning Graves was woken up with a large commotion. Following the crowd, he saw a great mass of people gathered around Zilean and Ashe, who were trying to keep everybody at a distence.
Getting closer, Graves could see a body on the ground; it was Evelynn.
"What happened?" Graves asked.
"Not now, Graves," Ashe responded.
"I said, what happened!" His voice carried as most people around him fell silent.
"Graves," Zilean started as he put a hand on Graves's shoulder, "it's okay. Eve is fine. I've put her in stasis. Me and Sona will have her healed within a day or two.
Graves, resisting the urge to hit Zilean, simply shrugged his hand off his shoulder and walked over and knelt down near Evelynn. Placing his fingers on her neck, he could sense a pulse. Getting up, he smiled and said, "Tell Renekton, Graves is coming."
