LORE: Gildepart's related to Versailles the Helm of Guardia (http://beta.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=15433). Rather than a person or anything, Gildepart is composed of mana that maintains his armored form together. Gildepart also has a sister champion, at least lore-wise and aesthetics-wise.

Gildepart is inspired by the mana-as-health champion concept, which uses mana as hit points instead of health. It's essentially the opposite of health-only champion concept, except there are some nice perks to point out:


  • Resistance to HP percentage decreasing spells, making mana-only champions effective against a number of items and champion skills.
  • No incentive for health-increasing items.
  • Unique gameplay style that requires something before-hand thinking (Want to spend your last 400 mana points, a.k.a your hit points, on nuking the enemy? :P)

With that said, there is negative side to having mana for a champion's hitpoints:

  • Mana drains (Kassadin, Wit's End) are a pain to deal with.
  • You miss out on some benefits from certain items.
  • You have to carefully plan your gameplay strategy, balancing mana for survivability and spell-usage.
So tl;dr: Gildepart has no health, only mana. Once he runs out of mana, he dies- however, he's should have more base mana and mana regeneration than other champions.


Leech Life
Whenever Gildepart kills a unit, he recovers 2/2.5/3% of his maximum mana.
  • Upon learning level 1 ultimate: 1% recovered on kill
  • Upon learning level 2 ultimate: 2% recovered on kill
  • Upon learning level 3 ultimate: 3% recovered on kill


Infinite Burst (Active Toggle)
When activated, Gildepart drains mana, redirecting it to his cannon. Gildepart's next attack applies mana drained as bonus damage.
  • L1 - 20 mana drained per second.
  • L2 - 40 mana drained per second.
  • L3 - 60 mana drained per second.
  • L4 - 80 mana drained per second.
  • L5 - 100 mana drained per second.
  • Mana cost - 20/40/60/80/100 drained per second
  • Cooldown - N/A
- When toggled on, Gildepart drains mana every second. His next attack will deal the amount of mana drained as magical damage. Gildepart can either:
  • Click "Q" again deactivate Infinite Burst, stopping the mana drain. The Infinite Burst mana drain bonus damage buff lasts for 4 seconds.
  • Or not click "Q" and attack, dealing drained mana, and continue to drain mana for his next attack.

The only difference between the two is that:
  • Method A stops draining mana, allowing Gildepart to drain a specific amount. However, he has 4 seconds to attack and deal the drained mana as damage.
  • Method B will continue to drain mana but in doing so gives Gildepart some auto-attacking edge.
So for example: Gildepart activates level 1 Infinite Burst. Four seconds later, he's drained 80 mana. He attacks a minion, dealing his physical damage and a bonus 80 magical damage.


Overshield (Passive/Active)
Gildepart gains enhanced mana regeneration
  • L1 - +1 mana regen per second
  • L2 - +2 mana regen per second
  • L3 - +3 mana regen per second
  • L4 - +4 mana regen per second
  • L5 - +5 mana regen per second
Gildepart creates a barrier around him using his mana. This barrier soaks up damage for Gildepart and is not affected by certain properties.
  • L1 - Makes a 20% mana overshield.
  • L2 - Makes a 25% mana overshield.
  • L3 - Makes a 30% mana overshield.
  • L4 - Makes a 35% mana overshield.
  • L5 - Makes a 40% mana overshield.
  • Mana cost - 20/25/30/35/40% of maximum mana
  • Cooldown - 30 seconds
- In its passive state, Overshield provides Gildepart with bonus mana regen. When activated, Gildepart uses a percent of his maximum mana to create a barrier to soak incoming damage. This barrier ignores armor penetration, magic penetration, and cannot be criticaled. Overshield's passive does not work when the skill is cooling down.


Shard Bombard (Active)
Gildepart generates shards of raw energy using his mana reserves, firing them at his enemies. These shards deal damage and burn mana.
  • L1 - Fires 10 shards. Each shard deals 10 damage/burns 10 mana.
  • L2 - Fires 13 shards. Each shard deals 12 damage/burns 12 mana.
  • L3 - Fires 16 shards. Each shard deals 14 damage/burns 14 mana.
  • L4 - Fires 19 shards. Each shard deals 16 damage/burns 16 mana.
  • L5 - Fires 22 shards. Each shard deals 18 damage/burns 18 mana.
  • AP Ratio - 1:5
  • Mana cost - 4/5/6/7/8 mana per shard
  • Cooldown - 10/8/6/4/2 seconds
  • Acquisition Range - 1000
- When in range, Gildepart can fire a mass of mini-shards at his enemies, each shard dealing damage and burning mana. These shards acquire random targets amongst your enemies, making it a semi-farming skill against creep waves. When encountering 1-2 targets, it's considerably deadly.


High-Magic Arcane Blast (Active Channeling)
Gildepart taps into his life force, firing an intensely devastating blast of arcane magic.
  • L1 - Deals 100 damage and burns 40 mana each second. Also deals 0.8x mana missing in damage each second.
  • L2 - Deals 150 damage and burns 80 mana each second. Also deals 1x mana missing in damage each second..
  • L3 - Deals 200 damage and burns 120 mana each second. Also deals 1.2x mana missing in damage each second.
  • AP Ratio - 1:3
  • Mana cost - 100/150/200 mana per second
  • Casting range - 2000 distance beam
  • Cooldown - 100 seconds
- After channeling for a second, Gildepart fires a freaking 2000 range distance beam with a 300 beam width. Enemies will take damage and will have their mana burned each second if they make contact with this beam. Enemies with a mana pool will be dealt a percentage of their missing mana in damage each second. The firing lasts 5 seconds. Gildepart must channel this ultimate.



Chalice of Harmony
Amazing regeneration item on mana-only champions and it's likely to become a standard for them.

Meki Pendant -> Fiendish Codex/Stinger -> Stinger/Fiendish Codex -> Nashor's Tooth
Noteworthy item for a hybrid DPS/AP Gildepart. Cooldown reduction is a nice bonus.

Tear of the Goddess -> Archangel's Staff
Permanent mana is a great investment, especially if you're spell-casting happy. Archangel's staff also provides nice AP if you have a big mana pool.

Rylai's Staff
An item that works particularly well on Gildepart, especially with Shard Bombard.

Wit's End
DPS Gildepart should be looking into investing for Wit's End. It's nice, seeing as it provides mana burn per attack.

Mercury Treads/Berserker's Greaves/Sorcerer's Shoes/Ninja Tabi
Mercury Treads and Ninja Tabi are ideal for Gildeparts who plan on tanking or receiving a lot of damage whereas Berserker's Greaves and Sorcerer's Shoes are good on DPS or AP variations.
