Getting close to 6300 and im thinking about getting MF. She is an ad carry which is what im looking for, and she seems like a good pick.

Any opinions why or why not?

Have you played her?

Yes -> Did you enjoy her? Then go for it, she fits into some teams quite nicely and can carry well
No -> I'd recommend waiting for free week and trying her out first. 6300 is a lot to drop on a champion you may hate.

Hate seeing Soraka on the other side your lane? If so, then go for it. =]

I don't think she is as good as a lot of other AD carries.... she has heal debuff, which is great.

The thing about her is..... she has no innate escape mechanism, which is essential for ranged AD in my opinion, for running away and kiting. Yes, let it rain slows enemy.... but it really doesnt feel like it is enough.

You can argue Ashe also doesn't, but all of Ashe skills comes with slow (one applies on her auto), she also has a stun and a free cv to keep her relatively safe, and a really good late game kiter. And the rest of the other ranged ad has some form of escape, while urgot is just really **** tanky.

Overall, a ranged AD with no escape is a deal breaker for me

MF's escape is her passive. She gains 70 bonus movement outside of combat. If you see a gank coming, GTFO. Also, Ghost is her best friend(better than Flash imo).

Here're the past few recent games where I played her. I really, really love her and she's my main. Although some may argue that Cait is the best ad carry around, Bullet Time is a really epic ult in team fights--especially if you know where to position yourself. So, yeah, I'd suggest waiting until she's free and then buy her if you like her. She's super fun to play and if you do it well your team will. I dunno. Be happy about it? Lol.

As many have already said, her passive is generally her escape. Ghost is arguably best on MF and there's no way you're going to be able to catch a MF that has map awareness and ghost up. Going back to your question, yes, you should try her out before you actually make a decision. She seems to be put on rotation quite frequently lately. Her ult is amazing early-mid game and can even punish the other team (especially the enemy carry) for not buying magic resist and knowing where to stand (an experience of mine involves killing an enemy Graves with my ultimate from across the Baron wall because he was going to attempt to steal and we had sight on him).
