i do agree with the fact that people should not play ranked when they only have 1 champ in mind that they will play. to me its the noobs who go into the selection screen especially last picks and say something like"i'm playing vayne" and someone picks cait or another ad carry and they still pick vayne because thats all they know how to play. people should be able to play most of the roles in the game when they go into ranked solo que but clearly to many noobs think they are the best even though they can only play 1 champ....

whats with the elo hell people on today... I swear.

I've only done a few ranked games so far, but the teams have been great on every single one. even on matches that are queue dodged before they start, the teams are very helpful and very communicative(like there is alot of communication in champion select). Elo hell is BS by people that think they should be higher rate

An example of a simple solution off the top of my head:

Instant BAN for any afker/leaver in a ranked game - though as we all know a time comes for all of us when we have no choice but to abandon a game for something that holds priority over what is after all just a game, but I for one would gladly take the risk if it would mean all of the ABUSING leavers (rage quitters, trolls, etc.) would receive bans as well.
You shouldn't ban someone for leaving a game. There might be legitimate reasons, such as a lightening strike knocking out the power, a person in the family died, someone reset the internet, a police raid, the building is on fire, other natural disaster. Life happens.

It also doesn't make sense from a financial point of view (losing customers) so it's unlikely to happen.

Go duo with a friend you know is good. And don't rage too hard and break your compy if you are trolled.

In my experience, I've just waited til I lost a few normal matches, then play ranked. If I lose a few times in a row because of bad teammates, there's less chance of it happening again. For whatever reason this seems less likely if you lose a few games in ranked at low elo. If you lose 1-2 games, you're probably about to lose a few more. I don't know how that works, but it seems to be the case. Also remember that giving helpful advice in a polite way, instead of raging can also go quite a long ways. Recently I've also been trying lol replay. I find this very helpful in seeing what I could have done better. This can also be useful for those times you see people owning with those champions you're generally bad with. By watching some of these people it's helped me to play with these champions a bit better. Overall I think LoL replay can be a great learning tool.

1. Never dodge in ranked because it's basically giving you a loss without even playing

2. Riot already has a requirement to play ranked. Level 30 and own something like 14 champions.

3. Play characters that can carry your team and learn them well. AP or AD carries.
