Priority: Minor

Label: Game, HUD scale

Description: Read title

I know it resets your HUD scale upon entering game in Spectator Mode to have better representation of items/gold/score and such (yet chat is still considerable small, separate issue). The effect still takes place in future games.

An example of this would be...

In a regular game, I have the HUD scale bar slid to the middle.
I choose to spectate a game.
The game starts after waiting the 3 minutes, my HUD scale is now reset (to default) to better view the champion tooltips/items/gold etc.
(Chat is in a tiny window, so tiny, in fact, characters are 'almost' 2 pixels in width. This is a separate issue)
Game has ended, I choose now to play a game myself.
I have been summoned with my champion, and the HUD scale is still set to default.
Now I must undo the changes Spectator Mode has caused and set it to my preference.

I would provide pictures, but attachments are always re-sized to 1/4 scale :s

Side note: Resized isn't recognized as a word. Whom is to blame!

@Riot, bump.

Edit: I don't know if this affecting live servers aswell, but it's been happening here in PBE since we started testing spectator.

As far as I know this also affects Live Servers, but it's really bugging me too >.<

I'll copy/paste this into the other forum as well, thanks for letting me know.

I haven't tested this with spectator, but it's a simple fix that works to keep HUD scaling in normal games.

1. Enter a normal game of any type (custom preferably, so you can quit out after you make changes.)
2. Change the HUD scaling to how you want it.
3. Quit game/Wait for it to end.
4. Close League of Legends.
5. Navigate to this folder: (I'm on Windows 7, with League of Legends installed to default directory)

Quote:
C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\solutions\lol_game_client_sln\releases\0.0.0.103\deploy\DATA\menu\hud

(The path may be different for you, but if you can find your Riot Games folder, then just work your way down the tree from there)
6. Right click on "hud1920x1080.ini" and choose properties from the drop-down menu.
(The resolution will be the resolution you play the game at, so if you play at 1280x720, the file would be called "hud1280x720.ini&quot
7. Check the "Read-only" attribute check box towards the bottom.
8. Click "Apply" then "Okay".
9. Try to spectate a game, and see if your HUD is at the correct scaling, then try a normal game.

Remember, I haven't tested this, but it should logically work.
Let the forum know if you try it out and what your results are
