Wait.. why would you make it a best of 3 SETS whenever most tournaments recently have been a best of 3 GAMES? And why would you do it after the games are concluded? Shouldnt you of told everyone the rules beforehand so they all knew what to get ready for? Otherwise, without telling the rules to everyone you make sure to keep everything under the table and put a bad image on the company you rep. C'mon man, just admit it that you don't know what you're doing. GG

How can the integrity of a tournament be maintained if the officially posted rules can be amended at anytime based on something that is not formally laid out for players and viewers? By allowing for the WCG to continue running the tournament as they were and adjusting the official rules to compensate how can any player or spectator trust the officially posted rules in a future tournament? This sets a precedent which allows for a huge amount of choice on the part of tournament admins which means that the process is not entirely above bias. The biggest reason people are angry is not because Dignitas "cheated and forced admins into agreeing with them," we have basically no proof that anything like that happened so it's completely pointless to argue that. The real problem is that it's a possibility.

As long as there is the possibility for bias in a ruling regarding the official tournament rules, the rules no longer function because they are not a static point which behaves predictably. From this variation comes grey-areas where the ruling is no longer derived from the official rules but from a person or group of person's perspective. It is almost impossible to determine if something in these grey areas is allowed or not allowed because it varies based upon the group making the ruling which cannot be predetermined. If the rules are not predictable then you cannot guarantee fairness. If you cannot guarantee fairness then how can you guarantee anything in your tournament?

This whole debacle is a huge blow to both LoL and WCG. I personally cannot take LoL as an e-sport seriously until these kinds of issues are addressed in a transparent fashion. Further more, if a team cannot expect the rules to be followed as they are publicly written, then why should they compete if there is a chance they will simply have their success snatched out from under them? If there is EVER a conflict between the way a tournament is run and the official rules the group running the event MUST error on the side of the rules. If you stop doing that, then you may as well not have rules at all.

Honestly.........

First wrong decision - Rematch
-- Why would wcg made this decision??? The rules is so clarity...1 set tournament with best of 3 games..even team CDE is on the losser bracket, but Dignitas has the advantage of 1-0 for the final match....Then CDE won 2 straight directly...this mean CDE won the 1 set tournament with score 2-1...is that right????

Second wrong decision- dual citizen
-- This is unfair to all the participants....if Jatt got ban or disqualified from canada , he should not participate for the US final....

Third wrong decision-- banned reginald
-- This is a freedom speech society....for banned reginald account isn't a smart move...this show that WCG is bias to Dignitas (even this is not true)

Double elimination does NOT mean best of three. A double elimination tournament format means that you aren't eliminated from the tournament after your first loss. You drop down to a "loser's bracket" and the winner of that bracket faces the winner of the original bracket with a 1-set disadvantage. This is the same in any game--or haven't you played competitive chess?
