Great post. I do this stuff all the time. I love the early laning phase. Sometimes I'll play really passive early so they think I'm just going to settle for exp and leaving them alone when I'm really just waiting for the perfect time to destroy them. Or I'll whittle their hp down to half and make them scared so whenever I run up they run back. Well I don't even attack them. I just run up and last hit a creep. I keep running back and running up to hit a creep until I get them thinking that I'm really not going to attack them. Then the first time they don't back off BAM! they're dead.

I also like your part on losing situations. Sometimes escape is impossible and you should definitely try to hurt them as badly as possible for killing you. I've had situations as katarina where their whole team surprised me in the river or something. I hit my ult and take them all down to half health as I'm dying then after I'm dead my team comes in and finishes them all off because they're low.

edit: Oh another good one is the heal summoner ability. I love running around with 20% hp making the enemy think I'm an easy gank when in reality I have a mastery improved heal spell in my back pocket. So as soon as they commit themselves to killing me I pop the heal and kill them.

Wow, reading this... So much of it reflected on how I play my Anivia - I love floating around on "10% HP" when in fact, I'm on 55% because I've still got my Passive up. Keep harassing until they tower dive to "finish" you off, only to realise they're only half way there and the tower is focussing them.

Definitely agree as well - Running because someone else got the drop is an easy way to make sure they win the encounter. Turning it around is wonderful.

Not tried the annoying smack talk. May try it.

The final cut should be 3-4 times as long. This is just a foundation, really. The inability to put in images really hampers guide making at the moment.

This is the lane type you always want to be in. When you enter a lane you should spell out to your opponent "don't fuck with me". Conservative play is for pussies, be bold and live on the edge. Put stress on your opponent, force them into a position where they are constantly struggling to regain the presence. Kartarina is perfect for this: random Shunpo's intimidate people, making them perform below par.

This is pretty much how i play katarina, great read.
