Pentakill's 5th: Who, why?

There's been a lot of discussion hereabouts on the complete cast of the Pentakill band, and what champions might be worthy of applying. I figure Pentakill now has four members rocking the League, so we need a dedicated thread to bounce ideas around about who might claim the coveted 5th spot...or how ALL current champions are unworthy, and we must wait for the fifth to be judged! Note that while rather tongue in cheek, this IS meant to begin a dedicated thread, instead of the scattering of past months, to MAKE YOUR CASE for Pentakill's 5th! And if it fails, I blame you. Yes, YOU.

But wait...the precedent is clear in terms of metal bands. Pentakill has a lead vocalist and three strings of varying ranges. Where are the drums?! With this in mind, should Pentakill even consider another member who is not a drummer? I say thee NAY! You are, however, welcome to make your own arguments about a fourth stringer or crazy alternate instrument below. Loser.

So let's review...each of Pentakill's members thus far are uniquely qualified to be in the band. So uniquely that current available champions mostly seem lacking in comparison.

Mordekaiser, Master of Metal
-The Institute of War has yet to find a being that can give Mordekaiser any real competition to his title. The extreme champion of your doom, his power and speed thrash those who would dare speak for another contender (with metal!).

Sona, Maven of the Strings
-This avant-garde goth gives the alternative voice to a symphony of destruction with keys and strings, showing that adorable musings are just a ruse. The mute maven can inspire a crowd to a frenzy and still kill you with sound at her fingertips. Sona's position remains undisputed.

Yorik, Gravedigger
-The long awaited third member of Pentakill. The Gravedigger takes the black traditions to righteously annihilate those who doubt his power over death and resurrection, settling them into their final groove. Alas, we KNOW HIM WELL, Pentakill brings apocalypse all over Valoran with this well deserving guitarist.

Karthus, Deathsinger
-Silent strings have come before,
and two that rock it true,
so forward steps the Deathsinger,
to give Metal its due!
Who needs corpse paint when you're a genuine corpse? New from the classics of old, Karthus demonstrates his technical mastery over death and shows that even the taciturn and long-deceased are not to be trifled with on stage. When he stepped forward, the requiem sounded for any other vocalists striving for Pentakill's lead.

Now certainly, we've seen many pretenders try to step up their game to be considered for Pentakill. But who would be taken in by the roboticiz*cough*plated Panth? Not THIS summoner. It takes more than a being wearing armor to truly make one METAL. In some ways, this is unfortunate...with proper coaxing, we might have seen Poppy, Kayle, Renekton, Rammus, Garen, Jarvan, Leona, Nunu, even Morgana step up to the position. Those with shields would have extra consideration for a drumming position, though, and Gargas's cask can be more than mere wine. Yet, if we're willing to accept junkyardification, superficial plating, or Hextechery, ANY champion could step up for Pentakill. The band is far too discerning for that.

So, if we can't just metalize anyone with metal, what about mastery of death and the truly goth? No, Emumu, you don't count. Go cry somewhere else. GAWD, these beings. Killing power is out, or once more any champion could step up. And of ghouls and the grave do we not have the qualified champions already? A case can be made for Fiddlesticks, Sion, Trundle, and Urgot, I suppose, since each has their own unique take on sending champions to their demise and outlasting their own expiration. But with four members that take the sensual appeal of Metal to a whole new level, can we be saddled with a sack of ravens, a truly overdeveloped brute, a deformed troll, and morbid obesity? Once more, I say thee nay. Of course, with this said, Battlerage's Steel Supremacy makes a compelling case for Sion.

So whom will answer the call? Karthus has set a precedent that old classics can rise to glory, so whynot consider Blitzcrank? Rumble? Orianna?

Blitzcrank, Great Golem?
-Ol' Blitzy has shown that he handles age well and is willing to take extreme makeovers. With 'naturally' large fists and a massive main-body/chest, Blitz would have no trouble being both drum and drummer with the right glam. He already lays down some heavy, metallic justice in the field with the iconic Power Fist and can keep the right tempo at all times for an epic shock. Is it possible this steamy mech could fulfill the final role?

Rumble, Mechanized Mosh Maniac?
-This dashing little Yordle dares to dream big, and who can claim a more epic drum pit than Tristy, the junkyard mech? What metalite doesn't want to rumble? This guy doesn't even limit it to the jungle, and it's more than just fun and games. ((LOL IS SRS BIZNIZ!!1!)) He can strike a pose, strike a foe, and strike the very hills. Could the potential for drumming up the competition and surviving any mosh launch this righteous rebel into the spotlight?

Orianna, Clockwork Counterpoint?
-An orange among apples, Orianna has a lot of potential as a candidate. Harking to Sorayama, this stylized wonder could have a ball with more types of drum than exist on Valoran, and needs no tune-up to maintain her claim on being metal and remaining Gothic. She pulls up when throwing down, always ravaging the pulse. Can the Lady protect her claim?

Of course, the case can be made that our latest addition to the League could ascend to Pentakill's coveted fifth position. A man lost to pure power, contained and channeled as only metal can provide, Xerath has the natural resonance to fill the fields with thunderous cacophony and force foes to ride the lightning. Both classic and battlecast, it's clear that the arcane prodigy can maximize potential and effortlessly bring the metal wherever he pleases.

So, Summoner...what say YOU?

Gragas - May be hard to implement but for obvious reasons he'd make a great drummer.

Olaf - He drumrolls people already, give that man some drumsticks.

His spell effects could become stage effects, and his mech suit would become a mobile drum set. It's so obvious!
