The main problem with your post is that if everyone on the team takes cleanse it doesn't matter if they all have CC, cleanse every 55 seconds, not 200, and focus takedown, better to have a good healthy mix of pushers and CC, oh and what if the whole team builds veils, your outta luck on your CC again unless you maybe have a TF to take down all of the veils at once. There is a counter to every strategy, you don't have a guaranteed win with alot of CC

SO just because of this insignificant thing we all need to get cleanse and not use other summoner spells? those come in handy a lot and wasting one because the other team is playing g*y does just not seem right. Also if they have 5 cc'ers one stuns you and veil catches it, another one follows, you cleanse, then what happens to the last 3, and you are also forgetting that you will not be able to stop 2 stuns for the next minute therefore you are even more vulnerable to the stuns... you still think CC's don't win games?

CC has always been OP. AoE's are OP. Merc Treads are OP. Cleanse.. OP. Flash is OP! Hot Sauce is OP!

Okay don't get cleanse, I get cleanse every match, so you make 2 of them basically waste 2 of their stuns on you, where are the other 4 team members on the team? sittin gthere watching you get stunned twice? unless they specifically focus one of you to burn 3 out of 5 CC's, you should come out with the upper hand, don't forget veil also gives all of you alot of magic resist, now that magic pen has been nerfed, their CC will no longer do the damage it once did, and if they're focusing your tank, no need to worry about him, you should be able to focus the DPS on their team and down them before he's out of his stun, Still think theres no way to counter all that CC?

Step 1: Cleanse

Step 2: Mercury Treads

Step 3: Banshees Veil

Step 4: Quicksilver Sash

Step 5: ???

Step 6: Profit

If you didn't follow the following steps you are either

A: Gangplank or some other equally useless character

B: Incapable of devising a strategy.


Edit: I'm being mean, allow me to backtrack.

This game requires CC/support, that is true. It also requires a balanced team, If you want to play Gangplank, that's your prerogative. He does a lot of damage so I can see why anyone would want to be him. But if you are chosing Gangplank and your team has a lineup of Master Yi, Mordekaiser, Nidalee, and Corki, rest assured that your lack of CC is going to bite you in the ass and you WILL lose.

Any and every team should have the following

1 MASSIVE mellee dpser
1 MASSIVE ranged dpser
1 MASSIVE tank with CC
At least 1 Support with CC and defensive abilities
1 Mage Support with good CC and offensive abilities.

If any of the mellee/ranged/tanks have worthwhile CC (I.E. Ashe's stun/slow, Chogath's rupture/scream, Poppy's heroic charge, Shen/rammus's Taunt), then that's a bonus and will probably give you a better chance of winning.

That works wonders too, if you don't wanna get cleanse, quicksilver slash, problem solved next question

If it's so insignificant, why are you making a QQ topic on the forums about it?
CC team comps are counterable, you'll just have to take a malady out of your item build to do it.
