Technically, it can go both ways. Considering that time is actually relevant, your will to age, or your unwillingness to age, can change how you perceive the passage of time. Just sayin'.

all i can think of is stay active...it might seem weird at first but hear me out

try to stay active such as going to the gym running a mile playing some sports or just a random jog (maybe with a friend) get your mind focused on something that isn't your relationship....too much
exercise improves your mood and alleviates depression, and the distraction will help keep your mind off your situation.
