Summoners!

We’re pleased to announce that we have a very busy tournament schedule this coming October. We hope that you’ve had a restful break for the latter part of this September, but the fun and excitement of competitive League of Legends is about to kick back into full swing. Here are just a few of the thrilling eSports events that you have to look forward to this coming month.

IEM Guangzhou: October 1st – October 5th

The next chapter of the Intel Extreme Masters kicks off on the very first of October, this time in Guangzhou, China. Here you’ll see many of the top League of Legends Teams in the world square off against one another, as well as some new up-and-comers and the hometown favorites for a combined prize pool of over $32,000. With live coverage provided by both Riot Games and the ESL, this is one event that you’re not going to want to miss.

The event starts at 7:00 PM PDT

WCG Poland: October 6th

The nation qualifiers for this Olympic style eSports event are slated to take place on the 6th of October, and will see all the WCG hopefuls in the entire country of Poland squaring off for the right to represent their country at what may be the most prestigious event in all of eSports: the World Cyber Games!

IGN ProLeague: October 8th – October 9th

This year marks the premier season of the IGN Pro League. Run by the largest video game site in the world, this third installment of the tournament series will not only be the first to feature a LAN event, but also be the first to feature League of Legends as a headlining title. Showcasing eight of the best teams in North America, IPL 3: Origins promises to be an event that you won’t want to miss!

The event starts at 11:00 AM EDT

Samsung European Championships: October 7th – October 9th

While all the North American teams are hard at work practicing for the IGN Pro League, the top teams from Europe are all busy training for the Samsung European Championships. Hosted by the WCG, the national teams from countries all across Europe will meet in Warsaw, Poland to determine who will capture the championship for the entire European region! Don’t miss out on this epic, pan-European showdown!

IEM New York: October 13th – 15th

Another installment of the Intel Extreme Masters will be following up mid-way through October, this time in the City That Never Sleeps. This is yet another opportunity to see some of the most accomplished League of Legends players the world has to offer take center stage for both a substantial prize pool and the right to compete in the World Championships at the conclusion of the series. Live coverage for the event will be provided by Riot Games and our partners the ESL.
