I just got me a headset that came with a mircophone so I can chat with the players instead of type (everybody knows how annoying it is when the battle gets heated and you were typing and go to hit a spell and can't cause your in a message). So I am wondering what is some good programs to download on the internet that is free to do so. And how do I connect the headset and use it in the game.

Teamspeak
Mumble

In game voip is still in development.

ventrilo is what i see used most.

also skype and teamspeak.

Connect the audio plugs to the like-color/picture receptacles in your computer, or if it's usb plug it in. Configure it for use with the program you're using and voila. You're pwning noobs.

voip = voice over IP (and no, not influence points)

at the moment there is no such system built into LoL
but eventually there might be

most people will use other programs running in the background to communicate with teams
i also recommend ventrilo for such purposes

Do you mean by running in the background like you can still talk to your teamates and cordinate your plans? So basically you can talk to your team? Just kinda confused on this. Hahaha

Thank you for your answers everybody!

er
yeah
you open ventrilo
get into a channel with your team
then launch the game

so you can still communicate with your team while in game

Okay cool, and one more question for you. How do you open Ventrilo? Like before you go ingame or during? Or do you just select a channel and have people go to it?

before a game
*start menu
*programs
*ventrilo

but i dunno i wouldn't suggest solo queuing with vent seeing as some people don't have it
i only use it when i premake =/
