The Dominion Beta Window wasn't for you to try it.

If they wanted to test their servers with it, then they would do it during a more populated hour. Lol

The countless threads that clearly don't understand this beg to differ, my friend.

ITT OP feels like he's the only one who can make sense of what limited beta testing is for and he must explain it to the masses

Talk about a sense of entitlement

False.

Not all testing of servers is stress testing. If you are just looking for usage information a smaller sample can be useful. They don't necessarily want to see what breaks the system right now.

Do you test your ability to lift weights by going to a large amount that you've never done before right away? No.

Its hard to gather data when you get none at all. And you'll get nothing if you try to open the flood gates.

Did everyone miss the statement of off-peak hours for the beta? Expect it between when the east coast goes to school and the west coast comes back to school, and then between east coast going to bed and west coast waking up.

Exactly it was a capacity test in non-peak hours, they specifically chose the time for said people who are complaining to be unable to play.

It doesnt matter.
The answer is always "Yes, the servers will go down if we do this."

Take Blizzard for example.

TBC hit, several servers **** hit the fan.
My sever was unplayable for about a week and a half.

WotLK hit, smooth sailing.

Companies can and WILL learn from their mistakes, or they will cease to be.
Have faith young one, Riot is still pretty new at this.
