I have to agree with LowPolyCount, if you want to make profit you should keep restrictions at minimum.

Maybe an achievement and title if it gets implemented in the future.
I feel skins are a major source of income for Riot, and if you make restrictions on them, you fail at business.

For the above poster: those skins are made for everyone, not just specialists.
Would you like to make 80+ skins for a small part of the playerbase?

Honestly I don't think it's a bad idea. Maybe 100 wins is abit too much, but i think many people who wouldn't buy a skin in the first place might feel obligated too once they unlocked the ability to purchase it.

Making a skin for this feature for every champion in the game would take a really long time though.

What about recolors or simple skins for free reward/achievement skins?

I know I'd have fought tooth and nail for Dryad Soraka if it were such a reward. (The pain that I couldn't fight for gold reward Jarvan. It is immense.)

I know Riot doesn't do recolors any more, but its an idea.

Edit: I have like, a lot of skins, so I don't like.. something and stuff. But it'd be something.

* Requiring a large number of wins with a champions would make less income because less people would be able to buy.

It sounds like what is wanted to some extent is a reward for being a good player and we are giving rewards based on ranked score for the end of season one. http://na.leagueoflegends.com/board/....php?t=1050815
A similar but much more implementable idea would be to have new summoner icons. Summoner icons would be a great way to reward players for reaching milestones. X many wins with a certain champion, X many wins total, X many ranked wins, etc.

It would probably be smart to model it after St*Cough*Craft 2's system of rewards.

And that whole "Achievement" tab is also just sitting there

those are special edition skins for a certain period... those generate alot of money due to the fact that they are only available for a short period of time so people are willing to splurge their money

What LowPolyCount is saying is true. It makes no sense both giving away free where thats main source of riot revenue and discouraging players from playing other champions. Its a lose-lose.

And from a player standpoint its always bad. If a player is going to get a reward for 100/250/500/ect wins they will be locking that champion (a carry no doubt) immediately. Having a game filled completely with AD Carries will become a much worse problem then it already is.

I think the idea is if players pick a main they should get something for playing that main alot. Not a bad suggestion. Certainly something you could address. you won't, and the fact it took around a year to reply to this thread probably is a good indication of it never happening.

Secondly, it's 2 skins for the entire season 1 up for grabs. Just sayin', that's not much considering how long the season went for. You can't tell me you have been working on that kayle skin or the Jarvan skin since the season began. I'm just sayin' that if you can make skins just for Season 1 and make skins just for showing up to PAX (i can't believe you do PAX skins which the majority of paying customers will never have the chance to own and dismiss this suggestion out of hand) you should have a better reason then "it's too hard".

Anyway, besides the recolors that have had no changes since they were made even though they should have had something by now, the fact that there are legendary skins that aren't worth 975 let alone a legendary price tag, and the general fact that the quality of skins seem to be random with some skins having a lower price tag and others having a high price tag for no reason other then that's how much Riot thinks they can get from them.

Basically, you have quality control issues. It's really across the board. All new Champions are priced 975 RP that just shouldn't be, Skins are 975 RP (or more) that shouldn't be. Some cheaper skins are just better than the more expensive skins not just in theme but in the amount of work that is apparent in the skins design.

Overall, it's a major issue for paying customers.

So in other words, you're greedy.
