Dominion will be unbalanced

I Believe that dominion will be unbalanced, since it's a Purely pvp scenario, tanks and brawler dps will come into style, because they will be able to survive the onslaught of constant pvp. And squishy carries will be unusable, due to the circular nature of the map there is no "back" of the fight for mages to be, so they are just as vulnerable in back as they are in the front. Also in a scenario were players are going to need to "tank" the opposing team (such as channeling a capture point) mages will be unable to do this. Also healing brawlers (ww, xin, moaki) will be able to run to creeps and heal right after a fight, as opposed to Mages who will need to recall and heal, thus losing xp. Also many mages who are primarily singel target will not fit the AOE meta of constant pvp.

A little mouthful, but worth it IMO, thoughts?

It's not like Riot hasn't thought about any of this. Here's a few points to keep in mind:

One hit from any champion will disable a channel, so you don't just sit there taking damage hoping to capture the point before you die. There's also a few seconds before you can start channeling again, so it's best to divert your attention to the enemy until you can capture in relative safety.

All healing effects, including lifesteal and spellvamp, are reduced by 20%, making it harder to sustain yourself for long periods.

All champions have an addition 10% armor and magic penetration, making it so tanky DPS are easier to take down without hurting true tanks much, and squishies don't really feel a difference. Additionally, some of the strongest defensive items, like Banshee's Veil, are not available at all.

Single-target mages will do fine. There is constant PVP, but it's usually 1v1 or 2v2 fights, as having your entire team at one spot of the map leaves the rest of the map too open for enemies to capture points.

A new thing, still not tested by a big group, is going to not be balanced at release.

Captain Obvious.

Lategame comes much sooner, which is something excessively beneficial for AD's who need farm to be relevant. A well-positioned Caitlyn with good farm and no level disadvantage can take on the majority of bruisers 1v1 no problem, and 2v2 even better. And once it gets 3v3 and 4v4 guess what, we're back at the original meta.

Basically leave your speculations at the door. No amount of theory-crafting will cover the range of dynamics of a metagame that doesn't even exist yet.

Map awareness will be a game critical factor.

It will be imba , more so than SR.

My only hope is that they don't pull a mundo on anyone because of Dominion.

It may be imbalanced initially, but no amount of cries that "X and Y are imbalanced" will be meaningful until the true nature of the game is discovered.

Imbalanced as opposed to what? Summoners rift? or TT ? They both have balance problems, dominion won't be any different, how is this some big surprise ?

I think that they will fix it eventually, but having three different game types with one set of champs might lead to more balancing issues. It's not like they aren't going to fix any balancing issues that do come up.
