Personally, champions like Poppy, Tryndamere, and Jax, all of whom have high damage and tankier tendencies will be the most effective. Poppy and Jax will be especially popular, poppy with her higher move speed with items and her W, and jax having a great match up against AD champs, which will be more popular than "glass cannon" casters.

I really do think Akali will be one of the better picks
Yeah she's squishy, but passive spellvamp, will keep her in the field longer while high burst and twilight shroud will allow her to hit and run*. Combinine that with the fact that you won't be required to lane in dominion** and add in that you'll be getting a second tier item for free, helping to negate her relatively bad farming.

besides, she's fun to play.

*I'm assuming twilight shroud can be used to juke/kite in the jungle
**I know shroud's good in lane, but she's just not that fun without shadow dash
