The whole point of dominion is that there are not the clear and dedicated lanes like SR or TT.

My guess is three groups. 2-1-2. Two top, two bottom, one in the middle (the point closest to your spawn point) who can pull support from the two groups to his side if need be.

The 1 will obviously be Mordekaiser huehuehuehue always live never die

1-1 for creep pushing/defending and 3 roamers
assuming the tower damage and creeps aren't negligible, of course


the laners will be aoe creep destroyers like anivia, karthus, etc
roamers are mobile tanky dps or otherwise excel at 1v1 and ganking, like poppy, xin, jarvan, etc

'cept the AB meta was developed, in large part, not to optimize operational effectiveness, but to make sure that even the drooling brain dead idiots that play PUG BGs in WoW couldn't possibly fail to meet the standards. In this, it didn't really achieve its objective, because the idiots that fill the BG queues in WoW are capable of taking any conceivable plan and seizing defeat from the jaws of victory.

I think a big factor will be people actually becoming more bold and pushing out early in a larger group to snag enemy points rather then focusing on getting their own. I can see 3 man groups potentially rushing an enemy point in crazy matches.

Most often I think we might see 1-1-3 with 3 going for the Northern point.

Same as AB. 4 rush their base while 1 cleans up your stuff.

Doesn't matter if it takes him 10 seconds to cap, if you delay or even capture one of their points you are massively ahead.

im expecting a 3v3 fight for windmill at the beginning while 2 take the close points, with the loser of the 3v3 likely losing their refinery/drill. I would be suprised if a standard strategy ever really holds though due to the risk style layout

3 top or bottom
Solely just to counter the most-likely of 2 on top/bottom with 1 in mid, then after mid and other lane have been captured, capture the rest while they're still dead. Travel as a group with a lot of cap closers and CC.

I personally think that this map is designed to have a small teams meta and not a 5 man team fight meta like SR.

If you group up as a team for any extended time the other team can just avoid team fights and take 3-5 of the capture points simultaneously. You five man take one and they take it back behind you.

Also Dominion does not have lanes. See bold in quote.
