So we're getting Even less IP for Dominion right?

I see a tread SR -> 76IP for a win - TT -> 64IP for a win - Dom -> 55IP for a win.

Just going to throw the "New and Improved" system out the window.

I'm guessing that it'll be less, because TT is less than SR because games end quicker. And if they said that this one ends faster...

Riot tried to base the IP gain to be the same per minute played amongst all game modes - so shorter games means less IP each, but general net gain should be roughly equal to what you gain in SR.

So 2 games of Dominion ~ 40 minutes, 110 IP.
1 game of SR ~ 30-40 minutes. 76 IP.
Not that bad.

As long as the IP per hour is somewhat close, I think most people will just play whatever game mode they enjoy most.

A 40 minute game on TT gives the same amount as a 40 minute game on SR.

The thing is, the IP scales with match length and TT matches are almost always shorter.
