Hello,

I really enjoy playing as Nasus. I generally have a really bad early game (last night's game 0-3-0 by level 6) but I end the game really strong (got 4 of the 5 kills in the team fight Ace to finish my game last night, ended like 5-5-12 or something). I do very well in the end, if I can survive that long and not feed up the other team.

I was thinking it is time to buy some Nasus Runes. I play a tanky build (Heart of gold, merc treads, Aegis, Guardian, then sheen -> Triforce) but don't really have any tanking runes. Here is what I currently use, just a random collection of what I have sitting around.

Currently:
Red - Crit chance
Yellow - Dodge - Tier 1
Blue - Flat Mana
Quint - 1 flat HP, 2 Crit Chance

Ideal:
Red - ?
Yellow - T3 Dodge?
Blue - ?
Quint - Flat HP?

What would be best? Obviously crit chance is not too valuable. I'd appreciate any help with runes, but if you have advice on items, game play etc please let me know!

Thanks!

"blue - mp5/lvl"

Once you get chalice, mp5 isn't really relevent. I get the cooldown%/lvl on my blue runes.

red - armor pen
yellow - dodge
blue - cooldown/lvl
quint - flat hp

You get Mp5 runes to skip chalice

Meditate + blue mp5/lvl = enough regen

Right now I use 0/17/13 + Cleanse/Ghost
Aegis + boots + tri-force + opp-team depended items.

Chalice is the item you always want to skip if you can (same with tear of goddes).
Because mana regen doesn't make you strong. You want to have _just enough_.

Exactly what everyone says.

You don't need chalice. I run teleport to go back and get the first few items of aegis. By the time you complete aegis and merc treds mana just isn't a problem anymore. It really works out perfectly if you have mana/lvl and the utility masteries. Pretty much was sumed up perfectly above.

Aegis
Merc Boots
Trinity

Depends on team.

Aura Nasus
Starks
Frozen Heart

Carry Nasus
2-3x Suncapes

Defense/MR Nasus
Banshees
etc etc

Nasus has so many viable builds and is my favourite champion. GO NASUS GO!!!!

I've been running 0-21-9 with mp5/lvl glyphs and even then I'm fine on mana, you really don't need the chalice. The only time I'd even consider it is in a really rought 1v2 lane where they are harassing you effectively. You can grab it then to be able to SF spam every wave to keep up on gold. In a 2v2 lane though forget chalice. I also dip out of my lane and ult golem at 6 though and then return with infinite mana.

Cleanse + ghost.

I go pure armor runes for Nasus. This increases his jungle ability, which is very helpful for your team, as you can start jungling without returning to base at level 4-5.

Nasus should not need the ultimate to take down Golem ever.

Only use the ultimate on the dragon or baron. Dragon is safe to solo at level 7-8 using the ultimate.

Never buy chalice on Nasus, you can get Golem super easily, no need for it.
