1 point on Greed, Meditation, or Increased Buff Duration?

So far, I know how to play a wide range of champions and I found that for most, I have at least 9 points on Utility. I wanted to know what are the thoughts you guys have on the effectiveness on 1 point for Greed, Meditation, and Increased Buff (if you're an AD carry that doesn't need Blue and Red is not essential, such as Ashe). By the way, I've heard that the 15% increase in buff duration does not apply to Baron buff?

Anyway, I used to find Greed useless, but now I use it over 1 point in Meditation. Just how effective is it compared to an extra 1 MP/5 seconds?

It's up to preference really. Greed and Meditation won't make a difference much in the long run. I personally would go for the Increased Buff just because you are the carry. Ranged carries usually get Red Buff and occasionally you can kill opponents who have these buffs as well.

What if you're not the carry? I know that this point usually won't make much of a difference, but it of course has the potential to make a big difference. An extra ward, just enough mana to secure a kill, etc.

I tend to pick up Greed unless I'm a jungler or I expect to get a buff regularly. 1 point in Meditation is pretty pointless, but at least Greed can pay for a ward or two.

Greed. Those early few golds can be too good.

As Cenerae has said, Greed will make more of a difference than a point in Meditation.

You don't go nine points in utility on 99.9% of the champions. Low level utility is so bad.

Yea, that's my thinking, but I see many guides of 2k ELO players going for 3 Meditation rather than 2 Meditation and 1 Greed. Greed is not only for ward, too (of course). Getting an Infinity Edge before your lane gets pushed hard and when you're low health from being zoned gives you that much advantage. Also, no one is going to run around with 100 MP looking for a team fight, they would recall. 20 MP/1 minute sounds decent, but is only effective during lane phase. If you're a smart player, you probably wouldn't be spamming your spells anyway, even if you try to zone them hard.

The idea that mana problems don't exist late game is completely untrue and easy to see if you actually play a game into lategame.

Most AD carries have a setup of 21/0/9. I rather get to level 6 first than get some magic resist/armor since I have a support for a reason.
