I've only seen a handful of other players with ribbons in my games in plat and diamond. It's a 1 in 100 players sort of thing, maybe even rarer than that.

When I used to play league once a week, I still had the honor ribbon. (This is back in April, May, June 2013). I now play up to 9 hours a day, and have the HO ribbon from yolo-Q. People do honor.

Hopefully you're still looking at this.

Around the time that the ARAM queue was released, I was sitting on both the Teamwork and Leader ribbons. Once the queue was released, I spammed a TON of games with a pre-made group of friends, and as such, wasn't receiving honor. Upon finishing upwards of 100 games while playing entirely with a pre-made group, I lost both ribbons due to a lack of keeping up the honor count in comparison to the amount of games I had played.

Just wondering if this was intentional, seeing as there is a decreased value on honor points when it comes from a friend, or if this is just an overlooked part of the system.

The reason we don't see banners anymore is because of the abused report function. Trolls are now reporting the people they verbally harrass, because they don't approve of "talking back" to them. People who have been wrongfully reported are getting temp bans, and the first warning includes stripping the player of all their banners. We need to petition all user names that are abusing the report to get them perma-banned from the game. They are ruining the community, and killing all the matches with their abuse. The legit players are falling victim to an exploitable report. I would know, i had all 3 banners, till some trolls i told to leave me alone, reported me. Due to this i was temp banned and stripped of all honor. I put a lot of money into LoL, and still get reported for not doing anything wrong in a match. So i fear i will eventually have a perma-ban. In that time, the trolls of League will take over one player at a time.

Riot Rhojin, if you could answer this question, that would be fantastic.

I was wondering why I didn't get my blue ribbon when it showed me that I had earned it when I logged in a few weeks ago. It said I got it, went to go play a game and I still had my Green Ribbon, whats up with that? I've also had many friends report that same problem!

If you got a temp ban, it's because you've been Warneded by the Tribunal at least once before. Which means a.) you've been reported often enough to get into the Tribunal (more than just one game), b.) the Tribunal users have voted in majority to Punish you (which generally doesn't happen if you've just told some trolls to leave you alone without being toxic), and c.) this has all happened more than once, with you not changing your behavior based on your warning.

You generally don't get banned (or even warned) due to false reports. The Tribunal is not that broken.

This sounds like while you were being honored by friends after every match, the collective honor was not enough to keep you above the threshold for either ribbon. This would be an intentional feature of the honor system. When you are honored by friends you receive less honor than if you were to be honored by a person you were playing with for the first time, and if your friends were continually honoring you after each game it would weaken their honor value even more.

I don't want to steer this discussion in the direction of the Tribunal or about claims of false reports. But I did take a look into your most recent tribunal punishment and I can say it was well deserved. False reporting does not lead to bans by the tribunal and the loss of honors, toxic behavior does.

Hmm this is the first time I have heard of this happening. I'm not sure what would be the cause of this but I will get in contact with a couple colleagues and see if I can find out what would cause a notification of one award to appear but not to be shown in the loading screen.

I think you're misunderstanding him. He's saying that he played a bunch of games with his friends, and they didn't honor him, because outside of the abuse cases honor is usually given out to people you don't know, and therefore presumably don't enter with the expectation of them being nice guys. Because of all the games he played with these friends, he did not receive much honor, and therefore his ribbons decayed away to nothing.

This is something I've also experienced, at least somewhat. When playing with my friends, there's fewer people in the game who can give me honor that actually counts. You're more likely to get honor from teammates than opponents (I would guess, based on the honor distribution of myself and my friends), so playing on a team of friends deprives me of the majority of my opportunities for honor. Do games played with friends also have honor decay more slowly, given the reduced potential for honor gain?

Pretty much this.

Unless there is more incentive to give honor (and want to earn it) then no one will care about the honor system.

For example I just forget to give it at the end of games. Its not that I dont care its just its so minor i forget

I don't think I was totally clear on the situation.

I received the ribbons from playing in solo-queue and non-premade normals, and receiving a bunch of honor. Once the ARAM queue was released, I played a bunch of games exclusively with my friends, who did NOT give out honor. After playing a bunch of full pre-made games with my friends, without receiving honor (Because who honors their friends?), I lost my ribbons.

I guess what I'm asking is if there is any way to remove games with full pre-mades from the honor per game equation that determines whether you get a ribbon or not.

For example. I play 100 games of solo-queue, and receive 75 teamwork honor points during the process. I'd probably be considered a pretty honorable guy, and would receive a ribbon. I then go and play 100 normal games with a 5 man pre-made, and receive 0 teamwork honor points. My honor per game goes from .75 to .375, which falls below the threshold for an honor ribbon, and I'm stripped of my accomplishment.

It's a crappy situation, and while it's not a vital concern, it really was nice to be able to show off those ribbons.
