Why do people buy trucks and set the suspension low?

Does that not ruin the point of a truck?

There's also some people who lowride their trucks. I guess they don't want to be associated with Mexicans, else they would have bought a lowrider.

This might surprise you, CJ, but most SUV's never travel off road.
Lotta people buy 'tough' cars n' such just because they want to look tough.

I understand that, but setting the car so low makes it lose that effect.

Yeah w/e, same principle either way.
If it's not a specific vehicle you need to do your job it's four wheels, an engine, and an image you're projecting.

Except it's not.

Inherently SUV's are designed for luxury passenger transport, whereas trucks are designed for work/labour.

Here I thought Utility standed for Utility.
*eye roll*
My company actually does use SUV's for work now since Workplace Health and Safety saw a risk in our tripods shooting of the back of utes and impaling innocent bystanders.

A van would probably be more space-efficient.

Lowering the truck is to make it look cool or whatever. It may not be lowered suspension, but either air bags or hydrolics making it so low to the ground.
