Elan was talking to me when he made that fictional character line.

I think everyone agrees, Dobs is very much real.

I also have to agree with Dobs. I have ran businesses and had no idea aout what we did for the most part.

I hire people who know what they're doing to run everything and I collect the money.

I still can't get over the fact you can buy a house for 30k in Elan's area. 30k would pay 1 years rent on a studio apartment here.

Elan lives in one of those areas where the people have no education, are poor, blindingly religious, rely on government handouts, and votes Republican. Is it really any surprise a house there is worth less than a third of my yearly salary?

I sincerely doubt you can buy a house that you can actually live in for 30k in his area.

http://www.livingin-canada.com/house-prices-canada.html

average home price in Calgary is $382 000 rofl. In Vancouver (where I used to live) it's almost $800 000.

The apartment I lived in last year was the cheapest I could find that was close to the university and it was $900/month (after I payed parking and utilities).

Even in the ghetto districts of Calgary (forest lawn) houses go for 90k+.

I don't know if the cost of building is non existent in the USA or if the houses are bordering on 3rd world conditions but I just can't grasp a $30000 house.

You got a site like this: http://www.trulia.com/home_prices/Nebraska/

that splits average costs by county?
