If that is the intent, should they be removed?

Umm. No. They are a feature.

Hurr durr lets just remove a feature we spent hours coding. All the animations, voice packs, and work should just be removed. Not to mention all the skins with special emotes. Lets get rid of those too.

And actually, while we're at it, LETS BAN EVERYBODY THAT USES THEM!!! YAY!!!!!

I don't mind if someone does it fairly often, but I'll admit a Teemo laugh nonstop for an entire ARAM match makes me want to punch a baby. They are fun, and they work to an extent, but nobody constantly spams emotes just to taunt.

Simple solution: Put the joke/taunt/laugh on an internal timer, maybe 15 seconds. Taunts should be used to actually taunt an enemy, not annoy the hell out of everyone you're playing with.

This is ridiculous, you have some explaining to do Riot.

I thought people were being sensitive idiots for reporting and punishing "GG noobs" but cmon, an ingame feature?

dont remove it, just add a time delay between each taunt emote. like 1 minute. Or maybe a progressive one, the more you use it the longer you wait for the next one.

This. Seriously. Even 'GG noobs' should not be punishable. Only whiney insecure babies that need approval from random strangers get offended over 'GG noobs.'

Reporting for emote spam is EVEN MORE PATHETIC.

This thread clearly proves that the majority wants to keep emotes and even exzessive usage / spam should be pardoned.

Riot shares this oppinion.

Tribunal did not work as intended on this case and the community is still waiting for a review / undo statement about that ban.

doesn't the ignore function remove emote sound effects from the ignored champion? if it doesn't, shouldn't it?
