I guess you are right. I regret not talking to someone from Riot when I was at LA Live on Thursday and Friday about the minimaps.

Very very bad choice Riot, again a new BIG mistake which continue the fail story of the tournament.

Why don't you start the game 3 ou 4 hours earlier ??
They have already said that they don't get access to the venue until this time.

You can see Chaox(I think) and Dyrus looking at the minimap.

This was before the remake. However, both teams started exactly the same as before the pause except for reginald, who went to the left lane instead of the middle.

This whole situation is another case of the internet misconstruing things wildly.

The afrost guy looked at the screen (intentionally or accidentally we don't know) in the first game... and noticed what tsm was doing...

In the REGAME is when he does the infamous ping, without having any peeking of that specific game. So he pieced information he attained from the first game, with intuition in the SECOND game.

There is nothing against the rules for pinging something based on prior experience and intuition from previous games.

You do realize that they were not allowed to look at all based on the rules right? You should know the rules before you blindly defend.

The community won't forget the cheating regardless of what you choose to do. Poor WE was already clearly not the fan favorite vs another non-NA team. The crowd was firmly behind CLG EU. Imagine what it will be like in the future with the label of cheaters on them. They were not popular because NA does not know as much about them on a personal level, and now with them being cheaters in the mind of viewers nobody will want to. I predict nonstop booing for WE and Azubu whenever they come to NA. This has poisoned their reputation and when you inevitably do nothing in response in an attempt to minimize damage , they will be seen to have "gotten away with it".

Sucks man.

The crowd seemed to forget when clg.eu blatantly smurfed into an online tournament.

Wrong. The picture circulating here: http://i.imgur.com/hntqU.jpg is the start of the remade game after both teams have already received a blanket warning for looking at the screens during the first game's pause. I am still trying my best to shoot down the misinformation.

Uh... can you post some sources? From what I remember of that event, they smurfed for some completely unknown girl team in some tiny all girl tournament and then got dqed and apologized publicly? Is that incorrect? So WE and Azubu should follow in their footsteps yes?

But regardless comparing that to getting away with cheating at literally the most important tournament up till this point is disingenuous. Cheating your way to 1 million is pretty big to the average LoL viewer and won't soon be forgotten.
