I can't get into 1300 elo because I'm queued with first time players

because even after hundreds of dominion games I am still being queued with first time dominion players on my team.

Why is this so broken? I don't want to play with people who have never played before when I'm trying to rank up.

Even if its a bunch of noobs on the other team, I don't want to play, or vs noobs after several hundreds of games!

People start at 1400 rating when beginning Dominion.

Also: arrange a team.

Or just man up and carry hard. I solo Q only, arranged team is for try hards and people that keep crying about MM.

If after hundreds of games and you're at 1300 elo is it maybe where you belong, accept the fact that you're not a 2k elo player? Just sayin..

well, when you get teammates who watch while you cap a point, there isn't a lot of hope, sadly.

and i am pretty sure it isn't 1400 start - checked a friend's elo after his first dominion game, a loss, and it was 11something.

If you're being teamed up with players new to Dominion, you'll be playing against players new to Dominion as well. If you're good, you'll climb the ranks. I lost my first few, but now have a good win ratio.

Also, jabebot shows you as being a new player yourself.

Ya it is super easy to get into the 1800+ elo range in dominion by 100 games so if ur no where near there you are where u belong, sorry.

If your worried about new players then i'd suggest playing draft. Much more likely to get them in normal. Next thing is dont let them dictate the game. If your team is blindly pushing top and failing do something unexpected and gank bot or go for their mid and draw defense away being careful not to die worst case you will draw defense away, best case you will get a cap. Your elo is only dependant on you not the rest of the team. Sometimes you will lose a totally mismatched game, just get on with the next one

Actually, this doesnt seem to be true. I checked on a second account, and its elo was 1300. I then checked some well known players. bigfatLP has a dominion ELO of 1703 despite being 6 and 5. Scarra has a dominion ELO of 1544 despite having a record of 2 and 4. But the real tell is Reginald, who had an elo of 1506 and is 0 and 1.

It appears that it factors in Normal or Ranked ELO. Its not a clean ELO like ranked, but pushes people up so they dont pubstomp on new players.
