There's a certain amount of muscle that is accepted by society, which is what is represented in the game's characters. The amount of people that play League of Legends is large enough to assume that their opinions are decently reflected by society's opinions. We can't expect this many people to all of a sudden start to enjoy muscular women out of nowhere. Even slightly muscular women isn't a universally "attractive" female body type.
I honestly want to point out another fact. How many woman do you know who are burly and muscular? I know alot of woman who spend alot of time at the gym and lift none of them are burly and muscular. The ones who are almost always supplement, it takes certain levels of testosterone to achieve the look and most woman dont naturally produce it. Its a biological fact. (I realize this does not apply to everyone). But i think this is besides the point because we are dealing with a fantasy world lol. (edit)

For instance, take Morgana. Is there any reason she runs around in a bra all the time? Sure she's evil and a fallen angel, but there's nothing about her or her backstory that also says she's a loose woman or needs to wear something like that in combat.

Or Shyvana. She's not terrible when it comes to weird armor, but she sports a whole lot of midriff and doesn't seem to like wearing real pants. Yet she's a warrior, and a Demacian at that (notorious for being goodie-goodies), and any practical warrior on the battlefield would probably want some form of real armor. I mean, you don't see the U.S. Marine ladies running around in battlebras do you?

And lastly, I don't know much about this new lady, but look at the rest of her. She's got a heavy weapon, a heavy shield, and she rides around on a badass mount. Clearly a warrior, clearly a battle hardened veteran, clearly someone who isn't afraid to take a defensive or offensive posture depending on the circumstances. So why is she in a bikini? It doesn't really fit with the rest of her.

A lot of the female characters in LoL seem to end up forced to be sexy for no particular good reason. There's no basis for it in their backgrounds or characters. In other words, the only reason it's done is because Riot thinks that it'll make people buy the champs.
Nidalees Sexy and shes an amazon, which in her profile to be sexy, cause all amazons are sexy :3

Thank you for making a good post about this sort of thing.

I've mostly just been raging, because Riot has never expressed giving a ****, and most of the community are ignorant adolescent-minded horndogs.

They show random toning, and that's it.

She-Hulk's normal appearance is that of a toned woman, she is hardly muscular. I mean, unless you want to argue that Hulk is popular because he is a giant green beast, and that's what people enjoy?
Power Girl is completely average hourglass with big boobs, so that's a terrible example. Though I guess she has decent biceps/triceps.

Not to mention, those superheroes aren't at all popular in comparison to others (like their muscular male counterparts).

Overly sexualize women? Lol, if we didn't do that since the beginning the human race would have died out ages ago. Stop crying.

Honestly, how much time do you spend staring at your character and gaping over her lustrous body anyways? I like playing- Nay, I only play female champions. 1, they are attractive, but they are NO means like, freakin porn here. 90% of the time im zoned in on the game anyways, Is it just the idea that they use one steriotype that bothers you?

Riot, masses call for gragasses Wife to finally come into play.
Make it happen, I want a 700 pound lady who can kick some butt!

Seriously, this.

She doesn't need to be a bodybuilder. She doesn't need to be un-sexy. But if ever there was a female champ who *NEEDS* some abs and guns, this is the one.. That mace looks like a featured event on a weight-lifting competition. The fact that she is so ridiculously non-muscular is pathetic.

And I don't care about the in-game model. The splash art, at least, should be *slightly* credible.

I have a female friend who blacksmiths for a hobby - makes iron-work and sells stuff at ren-faires. She's an attractive, sexy woman, and only a fool would ever challenge her to an arm-wrestling competition.

Sejuani should look like her.

I don't mind if it fits the character to be honest. I'm not making a big deal about Evelynn, or Ahri, or anyone like that. Why? Because the way the character is designed makes sense for them.

Again, my point is that many of the female characters are given these rather ridiculous outfits for no other reason than because Riot things it makes them sell better. Which, frankly, I think is kinda bull****. I'd guess that like 99% of the community is here for the gameplay, not to drool over a few pixel ladies. Sure its great to have your character look attractive, but again, the gal doesn't have to look nearly anorexic to be beautiful.

Toned=/= weak

Buff=/= super strong.

Someone can be thin and toned, and still be able to be stronger than someone who's beefy and bulky. Same could be said for the opposite.

So if her art was credible, but in game she was just literally two giant boobs, you would be ok with that?
Jk, man that would be like. wtf. Sorry, I thought that comment was funny :3
