I am saddened that this works this way....but happy Tim Buckley doesn't get any creative input...because he has none to offer.

Tim Buckley, also known as Absath or Vithran, writes Ctrl+Alt+Del and has a lot of Internet drama surrounding him. Not only did he make a gaming webcomic with a miscarriage storyline (view the Ctrl+Alt+Del page for information on this,) but he also has had quarrels with his own fanbase.

Specific Incidents: JACKIE (which is why people call him a "pedo")
The September 11, 2005, on the CAD (Ctrl+Alt+Del) Forums a post was made about a "forum revelation." It has been misconstrued for some time that Tim Buckley showed his private parts to an underage forum member called "Jackie". Prior to creating CAD, he showed his "gender" to a fellow member of the mallmonkeys (another web) forum, Amber, who was 17 at the time. Jackie was actually a misanthropic semi-psycho ***** who was friends with Amber, and the notorious photo of Tim's crotch was a photoshop done by someone else at the time of the thread.

Both Amber and Jackie were in their early twenties when the photo resurfaced. If that's all that had happened it wouldn't be that big of a deal ..... but .....

Buckley reacted by indiscriminately banning all users who might have seen the post, even those who expressed skepticism towards the accusation and defended him, and eventually closed down and deleted the whole RoM forum, as its local moderators rebelled and started undoing his bannings as quickly as he could dish them out.
In the aftermath of the whole incident, Buckley changed the management of the CAD forums, and appointed a handful those users most loyal to him to moderators. These promoted moderators quickly started to ban anyone who voiced any criticism of the comic or Buckley himself, no manner how small and constructive, and soon the whole forum was practically cleansed of dissenters, the only users that remained was the most willfully blind of the CAD fanboys, creating an incredibly sycophantic atmosphere which has dominated the CAD forums to this very day. Of course, since at least 20 posts is needed before posting pictures on forums is possible, it can be questioned if the majority of the active users are genuine fans, and not just patient trolls biding their time.

Specific Incidents: WoW guild (which is why people don't want him to be in control of anything)
After seeing that the other major gaming webcomics, Penny Arcade and PvP, had their own World of Warcraft guilds, Buckley said created his own. One night, in a fit of drunken rage/stupidity, he kicked out all of its members and disbanded the guild. The members was soon after adopted by PvP's guild.

Specific Incidents: Wiki Drama (which is why people don't trust him)
Through a comparison of IP addresses, it was found out that Buckley had repeatedly edited Wikipedia anonymously, and, most interestingly, vandalized the pages for PvP

Basically: Imagine a creepier version of Shurelia that's male rather then female.

Sounds like fraud.

Little late.. I guess it was on the "To-Do"-list ..... marked with "Soon (TM)"

For real? It may take month to fully design a complete new champion, but at least you couldve heard on some ideas and get it to the sketchboard.

It makes more sense? LOL (not the funny "LOL"), you just take the easy way out.

Im REALLY disappointed. And Im not alone with that. You lied to the community.
While not the most idiotic thing I've read today, this is rather high on the list. You've no idea what you're even complaining about, you're simply complaining for the hell of it.

Absolutely nowheres was it ever stated that Riot would grant you full control from a character, start to finish. Champions take weeks, or even months to put together. A single person's creation would be inherently broken, because it would have to be done entirely in the time they're at Riot HQ. The page has always stated "develop with", not "design". Tim Buckley is not a game designer. He is not on the live development team. He has no experience in making something balanced. Being allowed to take part in the champion creation process at all is more than he, you, or I would likely ever get outside of this opportunity, and I for one would leap at the chance to have direct input with the design team while the champion is being built.

Complaining that you aren't able to simply do whatever you want, and then implying that Riot lied to you're too stupid to realize there's no way in hell they'll just let you slap something together in a day, and throw it into the game? That shows that you're an entitled *****. Nothing more.

Wat? Riot isn't legally obligated to do anything when it comes to prizes. Especially with the "subject to change" disclaimer at the bottom of the referrals page.

In addition, Tim Buckley deserves nothing, especially not a stupid spider-shark champion that lacks any creativity what-so-ever.

Also, a lot of his 'referrals' were the same people making multiple accounts. Pretty sure Riot already said this is not okay during the project headed by some EU guys trying to hit 10k.

Of course it's not a - "you get to drop whatever Champion you want in the game" type of thing =D. Our own designers don't even get to do that - it's a very collaborative process.

That being said, we're going to update the language on the page to clarify
I agree if you have enough time and really want to make a champ you should of had it all planned out and not make the abilities to overpowered. Try underpowering them to make it look slighty better.

Look, I'm not a fan of B^Uckley, but I really think the miscarriage jokes are a bit much. That would've been a baby, joking around about its untimely death is just callous.

I'm all for people reminding everyone that Timbo tried to hook up with a 14 year old girl, though. That's something that everyone should know, cause it's kind of scary. : /

How does this even make sense?

How's it any different than popular youtube members pairing with netflix to offer a free month? netflix.com/phillyd

Oh.. it's different because he's not getting paid for referrals... it's kinda like you're mad because he has a fanbase... which is incredibly ignorant.
