So what is Skarner supposed be and do for his team?

He isn't a tank, he doesn't peel well anymore.

Is he a DPS melee? All those AP ratios do denote extra damage if he built AP but that is just completely cheesy and trolly and doesn't work out well in my tests I have discovered with being so squishy.

He isn't an Assassin because he has no burst in his kit.


So where does that leave us, is he an Initiator?

That is kinda poor considering if that is what he is supposed to do, he is a walking Ultimate and whiffs after his ult cooldowns.

Can we possibly get a bigger base shield in exchange for lower AP scaling on w? The shield is broken rather quickly and it drains mana having to recast it in fights. You can keep the movement ramping movement speed up to 3 seconds and it /might/ not be too powerful.

Taking an argument to its extreme may seem out of context but it helps to prove if it can stand on its own legs and is therefore valid.

I'm kind of inclined to agree with the other guy, if items give us slows, then nobody needs a reliable slow right? Just build into it.

I propose that his E, besides slow, marks the target for x seconds. First Skarner attack OR Skarners basic atacks until mark run out slows the target OR haste Skarner. It should help with his sticking power, considering he needs to use BOTH E and W to engage.

Ah, and ramp-up time on his W seems.. unnecessary. Looks at Poppy W, it works fine.

Please just add a slow to his Q again. The E would be a LOT better if you could do something once you get close because right now you hit them with E to get close and then the slow wears off and you can't do anything. Just give more sticking power with Q
