Eh, it's getting pretty stale. Especially since recent content hasn't been all that good.

P.S, post this on Reddit. Atleast people can actually appreciate good work there instead of whine and cry for more >.>

Clearly a Rioter smurf.

Riot, if you read this, here's what your priority MUST be if you wish to survive.

You need to overhaul the client, and essentially recode the game. I feel that this, along with your messy management, is what's keeping you guys down.

This event is pretty big compared to years prior...

Said nobody ever.

It is essentially here are some skins and wards buy them if you like them if not well there really isn't an event. Mind you the number of skins have gone down from last year.

I don't want to be that guy but my god the community is starved for any type of content at this point.

The last Big event we had was the Murder Bridge release other than that we had skin sales, which were a cash in by throwing previous owners under the bus (And no it doesn't make it alright that they are given a "Special Splash Art" and a refund. Those skins were marketed as Limited Edition never to return.).

Are we selectively forgetting that Riot has slowed down to a crawl in certain areas?

Nid Splash Art Update is over a Year old now. But they claim to have a department who works on those things.

Karma, Trundle, and Sej are in that same boat as well.

These are not including more recent VUs.

Magma Chamber was teased to the community earlier that year only to have the plug pulled and what the community got was an unwrapped Dime-store version for Christmas to show the community there was an "event".

No seasonal map update for either Autumn and Winter with the the Harrowing so late into Autumn it was little more than a farce.

The Replay function is still be worked on

The forums have received an overall downgrade (We can't even hit "First Page" or "Last Page" and the Riot post button takes you to the next post off centered to where you have to partially scroll up to hit the next response button minor thing I know)

That 3v3 ranked system we were told was coming hasn't.

Esports are nice and all but at what cost?

TL;DR

Why would I thank Riot for a year of Broken Promises (Too many for me to go into) and in some cases flat out lies? They are a Business that I used to support. Free to Play does not mean free from criticism they have reported substantial earnings and have yet fix or implement the most basic of things in a timely manner.

And thousands and thousands and thousands of people got to enjoy the skins that they could not possibly purchase before they even knew the game existed.

Youre crying about something that made thousands of people happy. Get over it.

This x 1,000.

Everyone seems to think that pouring more money and people into a project makes it happen sooner. The world doesn't work that way. If one person can change a tire in 10 minutes, would 2 people get it done in half the time? Would 10 people changing that same tire get it done in a minute flat? Would 100 people get it done in 6 seconds? Sounds absurd, doesn't it?

There's absolutely NOTHING to be thankful for with a trend like that, sorry.
Pretty much this. Spitting out a few champs, overpriced skins, and game modes that were mostly complete when they made them is hardly worth kissing Riot's butt. Not only that but the game is only playable w/o issues if you live in Cali. NY to Miami can suck a turd at this point, as opposed to playing LoL, and finish the day with a better taste in their mouth. How long did the stealth rework take? How's that TT beta comming along? How was the balance of most champs released in S3? I can go on, but if you don't get it yet then you never will.

If you think S3 was great, then you probably started playing in S3.

The reason why they were marketed as Limited edition was to show support for Riot while they were growing and you would be able to show off the Skins, that Riot said they were never bringing back, to people who later joined the game.

Those players were advertised Limited Edition Skins. Riot Lied and gave the sad excuse of "Well people who joined the game later cant experience those skins!" It doesn't take a genius to see that Riot indeed lied and people who spout the line "Get over it" don't want to address the underlying problem with a Company Lying to your face.

You can try to justify why Riot did what they did ten ways till Sunday but at the end of the day they broke their word to the original owners.

If this was just a one time issue where Riot went back on their word it wouldn't have been so bad.

However, look at what Riot has habitually done over recent years. See a pattern? They have been Lying straight to our faces and will always try to play it off. What does that tell you about Riot? I don't even believe half the lines they feed us nowadays they have to release something first before I can believe them because they have been known to lie. I want them to be better because I saw what they used to be and It was truly amazing.

I said I'm happy with what they put out. I began in Season 2, and they have slowed on champions. However, I feel skin quality is up, and more skins were released this year then in 2012. As I noted, there are still issues, but RIOT's direction seems appropriate. They are focusing infrastructure much more and getting servers up all over the world. They are also focused on fixing EUW and the Eastern Seaboard of NA. So yes, there are better things on the horizon that are yet undelivered, but 2013 yes a great year.
