I just feel like Rengar's going to lose his identity. He'd be less of a primal headhunter and more of a typical 'run at them until they die' fighter with an AD variant of a Mundo Cleaver. :/

Congratulations, you missed the point. Why is Kennen okay with ranged resourceless stunning but the current Rengar isn't? Rengar doesn't care about minions. Now it's a skill shot and can be blocked by minions and allies, it opens up a lot more counter play.

This strikes me as a bit on the harsh side. Have you considered a "Lose 1 Ferocity every X idle seconds" model?

Because Kennen needs items to deal damage while rengar doesn't. And Energy is still a resource.

Kenenen uses Energy, which is one step above trash resourceless "Game design"

What choice is there for Rengar to not spam his shot each time its off cooldown?

You throw something for NO cost. That is fundementally stupid and broken

RANGED damage ability for NO cost. Just spam it each time it's off cooldown because there is no CHOICE

These changes are still WIP so this thread is all about getting your constructive feedback and having a dialogue to help us make Rengar a more fun champ for all players. I'll be coming back to the thread later today to discuss the feedback.

I feel like Bonetooth Necklace shouldn't have been made a trinket. Previously it was an option you could choose to spend 800 gold on, knowing that you were sacrificing a slot for it, and it may not be the best item to buy if you were behind. Now that it costs literally nothing and the only real loss form it is sweeper it feels like there's no real incentive not to get it, and no real cost if you don't get any kills or assists.
